I had booked this tour in combination with some other skip-the-line tours of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. I found this bus option to be not very useful. I bought a 48 hr pass, but I ended up using it only once. It could be because of the summer rush. But I found that although the bus service was frequent,... More

We booked a 24 hour ticket as a first visit to Rome although this was a cruise excursion from the port of Civitavecchia. We arrived into Rome at about 10.15am at the Colosseum stop and decided to complete the full tour, which actually took 2 hours (including stops). It was great to see all the sights in one journey although... More

Ideally a hop on hop off bus tour such as this would be a wonderful way to see a great city which Rome unquestionably is. The problem is that you can only hop off and hop on at 6 points in what must be a 10-15 km circumnavigation. Certainly the 6 stops are in very popular spots for tourists and... More

We bought a 48 hour ticket through our travel agent before we went and also bought their skip the line tickets for the coliseum and the Vatican museum. These were well worth it as it ensured that we got in quickly. The staff on the buses are helpful and very informative. The stops were easy to find and the maps... More

An open top Hop On Hop Off tour should be a great way to get an introduction to a city and a feel for it, and to get an overview of the main sights. Some cities do it very well (e.g. Athens). Rome, with all its history, culture and incredible monuments should be a fantastic tour. But sadly this tour... More

Dear customer, thank you for your review, we are sorry that you didn't like our bus tour. To get a private tour of course allows customers to get closer to the monuments and to see more attractions but it can be much more expensive. The local government gives all the open buses companies the authorization to make a specific route... More

I enjoyed this your because it tells you everything there is to know about the famous places of the city and allows you to get off the bus to explore and get back on whenever you wish. Super handy!

This company clearly over-sells tickets and so you can wait an hour (as we did) to find a seat free on their buses as they pass by full to overflowing. It is very irritating to stand waiting as other buses from other companies pass by, only half full and with plenty of room. The pain you will need to endure... More

Dear customer, thank you for your review, we apologize for the bad experience you had. As you know last week end was August bank holidays, that is one of the reasons why the buses were more crowded than other days. Another reason is that most of the tourists in Rome choose our company as we can offer the best quality... More

My daughter and I bought a day ticket for a total of €30. Realistically you can only get on and off the stops at the designated stops so you find yourself doubling back on yourself or walking to the next designated bus stop which are not near each other. You are much better off going on public buses... cheaper and... More

Dear customer, thank you for your review, we are sorry you didn't like our bus tour. On saturdays afternoon, sundays and holidays the area is not less covered, we just make a different route with just one different sotp, that is why we charge the same price. We offer tourists in Rome the possibility to visit the most important attractions... More

Such a waste of money and terrible experience. We paid quite a sum of money for the bus passes and guided tours into both vatican and colosseum and found it to be a major waste of money. The buses took forever to get from one point to another and if you had cabbed to your destinations, you could have saved... More

We have been traveling all over Europe the last three weeks and in all the cities we used public transportation, we decided to used their service by recommendations from other people since the attractions are so spread out, worts decision ever. We bought the 48 hour tour, the first day we waited 30 minutes to get on, got off at... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
