It was raining very hard and the drivers and the assistant shouted at the top of their voice for us to fall in line with a lot of people including children already wet and cold. Waited 20 minutes but they kept their door close for us until the rain stopped. Unacceptable, appalling and rude. Do not buy their service.

... and it's awful. If you like listening to the same three classical pieces of music played on a synth for 90 minutes whilst learning nothing about Rome then this is the tour for you! Find out which sites are nearby five minutes after you've driven past them! Feel yourself growing older and wonder why you bothered to spend 16... More

I rarely write critical reviews, but this was truly the low point of our time in Rome. Where to start? We bought our tickets outside the train station and were directed to the wrong location to wait for our bus (keep in mind it was late December and freezing and we have young children). Once we finally reached the proper... More

I am led to believe that all the tour buses follow a similar route. We got our 24 hour moneysworth but there is a lot of walking from the stops especially St Peter's and the Vatican museum. The audio was not always in line with the places and sometimes right was mixed up with left. Termnus stops were quite long... More

Terrible! The audio descriptions were out of sync with the destinations, giving information about landmarks we had already passed or were nowhere near! The bus stops that are supposed to be 'near' the attractions are not anywhere near! The bus stops are not sign posted well. The map is useless, sights nowhere near their actual place on the map. The... More

We try to find the best in everything but we were very disappointed after doing so many others around the world. Bus was old and noisy. lots of the commentary plugs didn't work and when we found some that did we spent more time listening to music than any commentary- it also didn't align all that well with what we... Ultimate rip off in Rome 😡! Kids go for free but you stay out of the bus because the strollers don't fit the space in the bus (a thin McLaren) 😰. You have to wait (20 minutes for next) and hope next bus does have space (which is not certain). If you have kids, AVOID!!! Two tickets are the price... More

We went on the hop on/hop off bus not expecting anything good, just wanting a quicker way of getting around to take pictures. It was cold on top, as expected, but we bundled up so it didn't bother us. There were a few stops that dragged on longer than it should have, but mostly it was pretty fluid. They provide... More

I appreciate December is probably not the best month for an open top bus tour but after waiting for the 3rd bus, the other 2 were full and there was no organised way of queuing, a lot of the major attractions, Pantheon, Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, etc. are not accessible by bus so you get a basic commentary of something... Dear customer, thank you for your review, we apologize for the bad experience you had in Rome. Most of the attracions can be seen from the bus except the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps as the streets are too narrow to make the bus pass there. Anyway the attractions are just a few minutes walking from the bust stops.... More

Wish I had read reviews before booking. Used hotels system to book the went to get bus, first bus seen away from a stop so asked which way to go for nearest stop whilst bus was at traffic lights. The attendant refused to help and turned his back on us. Had a 48 hour ticket which we hardly used as... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
