About
RomeOperaConcerts is the only concert season for tourists in Rome run by professional musicians: Giovanni Velluti (piano) and Alessandro Fantini (tenor). Fridays with its concerts featuring classics of Italian Opera and Romantic Piano music, RomeOperaConcerts will take you on a musical journey you will treasure. We use piano and voices because in all the main theatres tradition piano is the only substitute of the orchestra. No string quartets and anything like that! Our scheduled concerts will never be canceled whatever the bookings number. In our intimate hall, close to the Quirinale Palace, the musicians are just feet from the audience: you will feel as in a 19th century private concert. Free Aperitivo immediately after the concert, in which you will have the opportunity to meet the artists. The concerts take place in St. Andrews of Scotland, in via Venti Settembre 7, a few meters from the Quirinale Palace.

I stumbled across the website for Rome Concerts while looking for a musical treat for my parents during our stay in Rome over Christmas, and booked tickets on a bit of a whim. I'm so glad I did – it really was one of the highlights of our trip. What a brilliant idea from these incredibly talented people, and what a unique and wonderful way to spend an evening. A programme of opera tunes and some beautiful piano pieces performed superbly in an intimate venue that really made us feel part of the experience – a feeling consolidated at the end of the show when the singers began performing their encore while handing out Prosecco and cake to the audience. On a practical note, the venue was also easy to find (important as I was trying to get my folk there without telling them where we were going!) – right opposite the Sant'Angelo bridge. They loved the whole experience, as did I. A truly memorable evening.

This recital is an excellent introduction to Italian opera and romantic music. For the Christmas period there were also popular Italian songs.
Great experience for a family. An example of how Italian opera can be both full of emotions for music lovers and accessible to all. The end was remarkable with singers and musicians among the public, all of us drinking.
After this you step out and find yourself in front of Castel Sant Angelo. Do not miss it if you are in Rome.

We stumbled over this event and feel lucky that we did. This setting is intimate and charming. Being able to sit so close to the performers and see AND feel every emotion was overwhelming. This lucky accident turned into a MUST DO. You will not regret one second of this experience.

Tracking well chosen of famous pieces of opera and Neapolitan songs. Excellent concert held by high level professionals: tenor, soprano and pianist. I will recommend it to friends visiting Rome!

We were wandering around Rome and very fortunately we stumbled across this! A quick look at Trip Advisor confirmed that it was well reviewed so we bought some tickets. We weren't disappointed! The evening was simply wonderful with some of the most talented musicians I have ever heard. They covered a wide mix of popular tracks and more obscure ones so it makes for a great evening whether you are new to opera or an old timer. And meeting the musicians afterwards was great. Quite simply the best thing we did in Rome!

We were visiting Rome and wanted to listen to some opera without taking the time to acquire tickets. As we were walking near the Castel St. Angelo, we happened across a sign invitin visitrs to attend an operatic concert. We decided to go and were so pleasantly surprised. The performers were a soprano, a tenor and a pianist. Alll were excellent. We were most surprised byt he quality of the pianist who interspersed pieces by Chopin into the selections of opera. We had a great time during th hour performance and the singers shared proseco after the performance. The audience responded to the quality of singing and I believe all had a great time.
The site was within walking distance of our hotel and many tourist neighborhoods. We encourage folks to try it out.

Three talented musicians. The tenor and soprano blew us away with tone and volume. The concert was in a beautiful small church. The accompanist was engaging with the audience.
The music selections were varied with selections from operas to contemporary and all performed beautifully. I highly recommend this show if you are in Rome, Italy.

We travelled Rome and Florence on our trip and had some amazing experiences, but I still look back at this show and think that it had a certain magic that was totally unique and intimate.

This is a very small church and the benches aren't the most comfortable. It wasn't what I was initially envisaging when I booked.

However as soon as the performance began we were totally blown away. All three artists were incredible and the acoustics in the church are haunting.

Towards the end of the performance the artists poured prosecco for the audience along with some home baked bread.

Afterwards the internationally renowned artists chatted with the audience and we drank more prosecco.

In summary - not quite what I was expecting - it was better and I'd highly recommend it as a highlight of Rome!
