Hotel arranged 2 tours for us with this company - picked us up on time however then drove like a maniac to the office where we were hurded like cattle to pay then spent an hour on a parked bus with no air con at all - when other passengers asked how long or if air con was possible they... More

My husband and I purchased the 3 day pass on the Green Line. the drivers surprised us at times by taking much much longer routes or taking extra rounds around the roundabouts. At times, we used the bus purely to get back from the attraction to our hotel and were in no mood of sitting in a hot bus for... More

Travelled in Green Line bus from Bangalore to Tirupati and back. The pick up time from Marthahalli in Bangalore was at 10.30am. On calling the number given on sms confirmation at 11am, the representative shouted that it is not a flight service and that I have to wait. The bus came at 11.10am. The seats were so dirty, the sheets... More

We finished our tour of the Vatican. I was a little worried when I read the reviews. But, we had a very good experience. We were picked up from our hotel on time. The tour started on time and ended on time. Our guide was Francesca, and she was very professional. The audio was fine, if I dropped too far... More

The best bits about this day were the ease of finding the pickup point from Termini and actually seeing Pompeii (a life ambition) - however far from it being the ultimate "tick off my bucket list" it left a bad taste in your mouth. So. Lets start the day! Good getting to the bus. Then much waiting while every seat... More

I have always been a big fan of hop-on-hop-off buses when visiting large cities. They cover a huge amount or ground in the shortest possible time. This one was recommended by our hotel. Many headset ports were not working but that's not uncommon on the upper decks of these buses as they seem to get damaged over time from rain.... More

We booked a tour for Orvieto and Assisi through VIATOR and saw that it was led by Green Line Tours. Checking their location I found lots of dreadful reviews and was really worried because at £180 for two it was not cheap. Our experience could not have been more different. Cristina our guide was very knowledgable and her language skills... More

My daughter and I had a free day on June 29th and decided to give our tired feet a break. Through our hotel, we were able to save a couple of Euros off the cost of the 18 Euro daily ticket. We started our trip at stop #1. Termini. It was a very hot, sunny day, so being in the... More

WASTE OF TIME. We did the Vatican Tour - skip the line with this tour company. It was by far my worst tour experience of my life so far. The tour was very long and disorganized. We were given earphones and a little radio but could not hear much as the guide was mumbling to himself and as there was... More

We were told by sales agent that route ran until 8:30 but our hop off stop actually ended 6:55 so very early finish. On same day competitor buses still running through to 10pm. Also, frustrating that the stop message speaks over the tour information so you miss part of the tour. In comparison bus we used in Paris has stop... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
