Dont be missled to think its as good as Big Bus/city sight seeing as we were assured that they all do the same route, and the busses are every 10 minutes. 10 minutes later a bus... read more

Didn't want to give any stars to this company but wasn't allowed to do this. Trip advisor please allow this option....We have used plenty of hop on hop off In other cities but wouldn't recommend this one. We were sold our tickets by one of the ticket sellers near the colosseum who told us it was a 24hour pass and... More

We did the hop on, hop off tour and every place we tried to get on or off, the bus was late. I would highly recommend just using the metro or walking most places. You were stopped most of the time and any type of travel guide book will be more informed. We happened to be there at a time... More

Like other reviewers I have used the hop on hop off sightseeing buses in other cities and found this this a great way to locate the major sights and attractions especially with limited time. This company was recommended by my hotel. The route was good and either went to or close to many major sites of interest. As has been... More

We used this group to tour the Vatican in Rome. It was a large group and a rushed tour. On top of that we were forced to wait 15 minutes at the gift shop, which seemed unnecessary. If you are looking for a ride to Vatican, quick tour, and quick entry this is the tour for you.

Dont be missled to think its as good as Big Bus/city sight seeing as we were assured that they all do the same route, and the busses are every 10 minutes. 10 minutes later a bus turned up, and we got on.... And waited... 20 minutes before we moved. Assuming it was the beginning & end of the tour, we... More

This company says in its brochure that buses run every ten minutes. What a joke. We got dropped off at the Colusium and had a good time. We went to get the bus and waited 25min and it was full. So then we had to wait another 25min for the next bus only to sit and wait for a further... More

Having already used the hop on hop off buses in other cities, we thought it would have been a fun and convenient way to see the main highlights of Rome. We just took the first bus but the quality of the commentary system through the headphone was just terrible!!!

Really long day, 13hrs, Naples was a slum, full of rubbish & looked more like a shanti town. Second part was to a cameo factory/shop ??? Plz !!! Finally got to Pompeii but because we wasted our time in the first two parts we had a rushed 2hr guided tour. He was passionate of this wonderful place but plz leave... More

We were booked on the Rome to Naples and Pompeii tour by our tour operator in the UK. I just happened to have a look at the reviews on TripAdvisor and was horrified at some of the comments from other people who had been on the trip. I contacted my tour operator the evening before and was told by them... More

Terrible tour company - best to avoid at all costs. We had booked a trip through them to visit Naples and Pompeii. The price was a bit more than we were looking to spend, but we figured it was worth it for the convenience of being picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The tour of Napoli consisted of... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
