About
The Eternal City needs no introduction, but Rome still has a lot of secrets to reveal. At Babylon Tours, our expert guides want to bring history to life, to make you fall in love with all aspects of Rome – and not just the gelato. From the imposing Colosseum to the confusingly-labeled Spanish Steps, we’ll take you to the places that made Audrey Hepburn swoon in Roman Holiday. We’ll go off the beaten path, as well, to show you the places that Romans keep to themselves. You’ll be declaring your amore for Rome before the tour is even over.

Our guide Stefania was wonderful and funny. Definitely recommend getting a private tour, she gave us great information without overwhelming us with details, she also gave us plenty of time to take pictures without rushing us along.

Took our son and his fiancée on this tour yesterday. Booked it late last week and was able to get a spot easily. Stephania was lovely. Met us exactly where and when they said she would in the email the day prior to our tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time to look around and yet kept us moving along. We all came way having had a great time and blown away by both the Vatican and her knowledge. Wasn’t as expensive as other tours and very enjoyable

Planning our trip to Europe I loved the idea of skipping the lines for the major attractions as we didn’t want to waste valuable time. Little did we know that with Babylon, not only would we skip the line, we would get an informative and educational history lesson as well, sprinkled with enough humour and lightness to keep us smiling and engaged for the whole tour. Our tour guide for the Colosseum, Alexander was great, he was full of interesting anecdotes and great information. With a private tour one is able to ask a lot of questions and really receive a complete overview of the history. We highly recommend this tour.

A snow storm in Rome caused epic lines the next day, and there was no way we were getting into the Colosseum. I messaged Babylon about a tour the following day and before I knew it, we had a private tour schedule for the next afternoon. The guide had great stories about the arena and the nearby forums. There wasn't a moment of lag, and my mom, someone who isn't always convinced about history, was raving about the tour for the rest of the day. No lines to worry about either. Well worth it to avoid endless lines.

Ornella was a brilliant tour guide! Try to book her if you can! We really enjoyed our experience so much more with her easing us into all the artwork, which would have been overwhelming otherwise. She had a real command over the knowledge of the sculptures and frescoes and could explain things with both fine detail and an appreciation for the greater meaning and context of the pieces. We really liked her and would highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide Eleonora was wonderful. The tour was so much more personal than the massive tour groups that we passed. Me and my wife are so glad we booked this.
