Romaround tours was recommended to us highly so we started off with high hopes. The tour was terrible from beginning to end. Firstly, the tour was meant to start at 13:00, we waited an hour in the sun (not even an exaggeration) for our tour guide to show up. The tour guide was then also someone completely different to who... More

We signed up on the go for the tour of the Colosseum as the line was really long. The tour was in two parts first the Colosseum and then the Forum. Both were enjoyable but I have to say, I really enjoyed the Forum. Terry was our guide for the Forum and he was great! Funny, engaging, patient and very... More

It was great! I avoided waiting in line for 2 hours in the sun. The tour was fun and once they get you in you can wander around like everyone else. Terry's tour on the Palatine hill was class ;)

We typically NEVER pay for a guided tour, but skipping the several hour lines in the hot sun packed like sardines with people from around the world alone is worth paying for the guided tour. You skip all of the lines and go straight in. We first took a tour of the Colosseum and The Forum with a brilliant woman... More

Do not waste €50 to go on a tour of the Vatican with romaround. We wish we had read the reviews beforehand but had used the same company for the colloseum tour and overall enjoyed that. Once we got to the office at 3pm. We were told to wait outside, 2 groups arrived late which we had to wait for,... More

A great way to beat the crowds with informative guides. Based on our great experience at the colloseum and the palentine hill we booked for the tour around the vatican. With so much information to cram into a few hours we really did get the best of both worlds. Beat the crowds and key information. Terry, Ian and Ariana were... More

I don't mind paying for an engaging tour but this was not. Dull, very disorganised, not as long as stated & rushed. The tour began at 3 but we started the actual tour inside at 4.20 and rushed as they needed to hand the microphones back. We were also lied too when sold the tour as they advised it is... More

Did the 3pm Vatican museum/Sistine chapel tour. They recommended the 3pm because of smaller crowds. BIB mistake! We were 46 on the tour. 46!!! MUCH too gig a group. AT 3:15 There was a "briefing" outside their offices for about 20 minutes, then it was at least a 20 minutes walk to the Vatican museums. Inside, it took a long... More

Did the Vatican tour with this company, thought it was a bit dubious at first but turned out to be ok. A problem at the end with directions, possibly my fault not sure, but the company gave immediate compensation without any hassle, I was very impressed with this. Would absolutely go with this company again and highly recommend.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
