Booked a max 12 person tour of the Vatican through their other name of 7 hills tours and there were 14 (almost 16 until 2 unlucky people got pulled from the group as they had over sold it). We showed up at 1020 for a 1030 tour and the guide was already talking in the street so we missed information... More

Did the Colleseum and Vatican this week. Well led and worth the money we spent. Tour leaders were knowledgeable and articulate. They truly save you time in getting through the long lines at these places. We ran into them while standing in line for The Colleseum. The guys who approach you are a bit random. But they know what the... More

book this tour as we went to queue up for the Vatican. So glad we did. We skipped the massive queue that was building even early in the morning. Ian our guide was so informative, and told us things that we would not have known. Tour was well presented and as I've said before informative. Well done Ian you were... More

We booked our tour via the kiosk at Ottanio Metro station. Our guide company was Romearound. Thankfully we had a small tour party. Our guide was Luca who was exellent and clearly well versed in the tour and sites of the Vatican museum. He was very well informed. We enjoyed our trip very much.

TAKE YOUR TIME AND READ THIS REVIEW. These companies are all one and the same (this should have been my first hint of something strange): tourinrome.com tourinthecity.com vaticanguidedtour.com (with some sort of affiliation to romaroundtours.com) Booked these 2 tours with company the company (tourinrome.com specifically): The Colosseum Group Tour and Vatican Museum/Sistine Chapel group tour with direct entrance to St... Romaround tours was recommended to us highly so we started off with high hopes. The tour was terrible from beginning to end. Firstly, the tour was meant to start at 13:00, we waited an hour in the sun (not even an exaggeration) for our tour guide to show up. The tour guide was then also someone completely different to who... More

We signed up on the go for the tour of the Colosseum as the line was really long. The tour was in two parts first the Colosseum and then the Forum. Both were enjoyable but I have to say, I really enjoyed the Forum. Terry was our guide for the Forum and he was great! Funny, engaging, patient and very... More

We got sent to this company by city sightseeing - to say it was absolutely awful is an understatement! Our guide Silvia was by far the worst tour guide we've ever experienced. It was like being brought around the Vatican by that teacher in school everyone hated with regular scoldings for not moving fast enough followed by scoldings for moving... More

It was great! I avoided waiting in line for 2 hours in the sun. The tour was fun and once they get you in you can wander around like everyone else. Terry's tour on the Palatine hill was class ;)

We typically NEVER pay for a guided tour, but skipping the several hour lines in the hot sun packed like sardines with people from around the world alone is worth paying for the guided tour. You skip all of the lines and go straight in. We first took a tour of the Colosseum and The Forum with a brilliant woman... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
