We've just had a most wonderful tour of the Vatican. We booked through Museums Rome and our guide Cecilia had an incredible amount of knowledge. Moreover she kept two teenagers enthralled for over two and a half hours. She moved swiftly through the tour but...More
Coming from Jerusalem, how are you best introduced to the Vatican?
In our era of Google Maps and Wikipedia, what is the function of a local guide?
Our local airbnb contact Andrea advised us to hire the services of Alessandra +393208643357 as a private guide...More
We chose the Early access Sistine Chapel, Map Room, Raphael rooms, Pope vehicles, St. Peter's and much more. The tour lasted about six hours and we learned more about the art/history/religion of the Vatican than I could have imagined. Highly recommended.
Frank Van den Broeke made history come alive with his theatrical presentation.
He was well known by the employees in the Vatican museum and had his timing down perfectly to conclude our tour in the Sistine Chapel just at closing, which aside from first opening,...More

The mini-neigborhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the
pulse of the neighborhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
