All of our lively and enthusiastic staff have lived in Italy for several years and are well equipped with the knowledge and experience to reveal this fascinating nation. We are dedicated to sharing information with our guests about the rich history, mythology, legends and scandals that Italy has seen; and the amazing stories these cobbled streets and crumbled temples have to tell.

After a recommendation from a friend i got in touch with this company to see if they could help out with a tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. From start to finish Matt in the office was professional, prompt and informative with every reply i received by email. On arriving we were promptly met by Lucia who instructed us on what our itinerary would be and how we should socially distance so we felt very safe. Having visited these locations previously without a tour guide i wasn't expecting it to be anything special but our host Lucia knew everything and i mean everything you need to know about these historic locations and the buildings that run alongside them. Not only was her knowledge second to none she had a great sense of humour and made us feel very much at ease (Also knowing the water stops in 35 degree heat was helpful it must be said). To sum up if you ever want to take a tour (and i would recommend doing this rather than ticket only) look no further than Roman Candle Tours! Thanks again Matt and Lucia for making our trip very memorable and we shall see you next time we are in town!

We were a family group of ten people visiting Italy. In Rome, we took a private tour of Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel,St Peter’s Basilica and the Colosseo, our guide was the best, very knowledgeable, she answered our questions, she was very polite, guided us very well, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The drivers, were very nice, both of them, and we fitted quite nicely on the vans.
Matt arranged it all, he also arranged our pick-up from Venice, Marco Polo Airport to St. Marks Square in a private taxi. Everything went very well, he is a Pro!

This is the first time we have posted about a service on line, and it's because we really had to acknowledge the incredible services that were provided to us. We had such a seamless journey thanks to Matt and his incredible team. When we were organizing transport, tours, boat rentals to capri, drivers for the day, Matt helped us through the entire process guiding us on the most desirable and economical way to see Italy. I honestly can say he was extremely efficient, and always organized and available removing all the stress and assuring me everything would be taken care of on time and with care. This company did not disappoint! and I would highly recommend this service if you are visiting Italy. Thank you Matt for all your hard work!

Another great experience with Matt and the Roman Candle Tours team!! I used their transport services twice on this trip including for airport pick-up as well as transport from Rome to Tuscany. Both of the drivers (Roberto and Beatrice) were very professional, on time and friendly with great vehicles too. For those wondering, safety was also paramount with euro green pass vaccination proof and masks worn at all times. I was also very impressed that I was assigned a female driver for my trip from Rome to Tuscany. I was travelling solo this particular trip, so this was a nice surprise to have this option of a female driver for the longer commute from Rome into Tuscany -- a nice touch for added comfort. I highly recommend Roman Candle Tours. They were excellent for this solo trip and transport services. On a previous trip, my family and I also had used them to book private tours (Vactican, Colliseum etc...) as well as for various transport services. Happy Repeat Customer!!

Being Tour Operators, ours was a specialty request. The office (Matt) and the guide (Jerry) were excellent. The tour was for our family of 7 (that crossed 3 generations) to un trafficked sites/places. It was exemplary - this turnkey (all inclusive) full day excursion was accomplished perfectly. They handled this custom request to the T. Thank you Roman Candle!

Roman Candle Tours saved our Italian vacation. My family of 5 had scheduled 3 tours with them, and when our flight to Rome was delayed by 48 hours, Matt worked very hard to reschedule what he could and refunded what he couldn't. The Night Walking Tour of Rome with Brandon was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and knew many out of the way places that most tours skip. When I asked Matt to recommend the best way to travel to my great grandfather's hometown of Barisciano 90 minutes east of Rome, he didn't just make a recommendation. He found us Antonio, a fantastic guide who drove us to the town, showed us around the local sites and served as our interpreter when we met with family who still live there today - an unforgettable experience. After touring with other companies in Italy, I can say that Roman Candle Tours offers the best tours, guides and services, and I will work with them exclusively on future trips.

One of our best Mediterranean tour this year. Roman candle tours handled all our transfers, from Fiumicino airport to our Airbnb in Rome city . Then to our cruise port of Civettavichia back to Rome city and finally to the airport. From the time our flight was delayed for a day. Roman Candle tours handled all the adjustments of our transfers and Vatican City tours according to our schedules, Worry free. All you have to do is communicates as soon as you know there’s a problems in your schedules. All our transfer drivers are excellent on time and easy to communicate. Virma our tour guide to Vatican City was exceptional. I can’t thank you enough Matthew Carley the director of Roman Candle tours who handled all our bookings. I will 100% percent recommend them to our family and friends. Thank you so much Matt!

This was the fourth time that I have used Roman Candle Tours and, once again, Matt and his team were terrific and made our travel to Italy a great experience.
We stayed in Rome for nine days in October. Matt took the time to work with me to arranged for a cooking class, tours in Rome and day trips to visit wineries in the area.
Our experience with Chef Andrea was a pleasure. We really enjoyed preparing the meal with him and the food was fabulous!
In addition, we were so fortunate to have an outstanding tour guide throughout our visit. Jowita was simply outstanding and a pleasure. She was so patient with us and I can not say enough about how much we appreciate all that she did for us. She was so knowledgeable and a wine sommelier too. Unbelievable.
In sum, I would highly recommend using Roman Candle Tour on your next visit to Rome.

Our guide, Kristiana, was excellent. My family and I easily found her at the meeting point and she led us on wonderful tour of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Kristiana's knowledge of the history of Rome is amazing. We learned so much more seeing the Forum and Colosseum with her than we ever could have without a guide.

We have traveled all throughout Europe and always use Drivers and Guides. We used Roman Candle Tours and I have to say they were the best we have ever used. Matt's team of Gastone, Luciana, Antonella, Jerry and Antionio were excellent. They made our visits to Rome, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Bolsena, Monteriggioni and Orvieto very memorable. Their knowledge of art, history and the roads of Italy was exceptional. They took us to places that were special to them which made the trip that much more memorable. The communication between Matt and I was prompt and thorough. I cannot say enough about this tour company. All their suggestions were spot on, and we would not have done it any other way. We will definitely use them again when we return to Italy.

As all tours are private we can organize them at a time when is best for you, granted the sites are open.
