It was our first time in Italy and we were a little hesitant about a group tour, however we cannot thank Chiara enough for giving us an unforgettable tour! We were taken straight to the front of the queue which was snaking around the walls...More

Excellent tour and guide. Dario was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the sites. His facts and pictures helped you visualize the colosseum and forum as they once were. We had a small group and were able to ask many questions. I wouldn't view these sites...More

This tour was anything but small! We had too many people that made it difficult to get around in mass crowds. There was a lot of waiting on people in our group or another group that was shadowing our general path. Our host was very...More

Our guide , Christina, was excellent and that's why I chose a 5 rating. The site is, of course, amazing, but the huge crowds were awful...and being yelled out to be silent in the Sustine Chapel quite offensive.

We visited the Vatican, and our guide Christina knew everything about everything!! She is American which made her very understandable and she had a great charisma and joked a lot.

This is absolutely the BEST tour company we've ever used! We did the Ancient Rome tour and the St. Peter's tour a couple of years ago - which were excellent! (split into two days - it's a LOT of walking!). We just finished a day...More

You could come to the When in Rome office before 8.45 and collect the ticket and then you will go with a tour guide as a group from their office, which is walking distance to Vatican

Yes - you still have to wait in line though, as places like the Colosseum and Vatican sell a lot of ‘skip the line’ tickets. However, you have to wait much longer if you don’t purchase ‘skip the line’ tickets.

Because of the nature of the terrain it will have a level of difficulty. I would look for a tour that deals with disabilities specifically. Take the earliest tour due to amounts of people.
