Every day of our stay in Rome we walked along this busy street, since our hotel was on it. It starts very close to the Roma Termini Station. Surrounded by bars, restaurants and accommodations of different categories. Its creation was at the end of the 19th century with the plan to expand the city. Get to the Imperial Forums, everything can be done on foot, it is the ideal location.

Via Cavour is one of the main boulevards of Rome, it goes from Termini station down towards the Colosseum. I strolled it four times, it's full of bars & restaurants. Watch out that from the station the slope is downhill, walking back is uphill and takes it out of you on a hot day!

Via Cavour is a street that connects the Termini train station with the Roman Forum with hotels, cafes, restaurants, shops, markets, and more along the way. It was a pleasure to walk it.

After a lovely weekend in Rome and a fantastic meal in monti, we had 1 last drink in this bar by the metro before heading back to our hotel. We asked for the cocktail menu and it was clearly priced at €9 Euros each. We picked 2 long island iced teas which were standard size and decent, after finishing them we took the glasses inside and asked to pay, at this point the bar man summoned a sour faced African woman and said we had to pay her, our bill? €27! We told her there had been a mistake and we only had 2 €9 euro drinks but she said we had accidentally been given the large drinks (there was no small or large option on the menu) plus "service charge" we told her we were English not stupid and she dropped it to €24. She started getting very angry so we paid the €24 but went outside and warned the other English customers who had food too so I dread to think the bill awaiting them! At this point the owner started pushing us out the door and swearing at us! Complete scam, avoid all costs. The poor staff look terrified of her and clearly feel bad about scamming people.

How has this place got 3.5 stars?! I checked some reviews and good ones generally about street NOT restaurant so I think this is why.
I feel stupid - should have checked Trip Advisor. No prices given before ordering - but how much can an omelette cost?! On way to Colosseum, busy street. 59 Euros for 2 watery orange juice, 1 non-branded diet cola, 1 crepe and 2 omelettes (the smallest I've ever seen - 1 egg I reckon). Please do not go here and tell others. I complained (a lot) but was told that I could have asked for the prices...won't make this mistake again.

We sat down and asked for menu. Apparently they only had one for food and cocktails but they were reasonably priced. Ordered 1 beer, 1coke, 1 Fanta, 1 lemonade, 2 ice creams, 1 fruit cocktail (which was not as nice as the picture - no strawberries and the fruit wasn't very fresh!). Bill? €80!!! We argued loudly for some time. I was looking up trading standards in Italy until they agreed on €60. Still a rip off and we feel very stupid for not checking prices first . Sharing as a warning to all!!

DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY AND RUIN A DAY!!!! We were told a dinner special was 10 Euros and included a Coke,a salad and one of 3 different pizzas or pastas or lasagne. We ordered then when they brought out the cokes they told us they had made a mistake and that the cokes were 3 euros EACH!!! 12 EXTRA EUROS!!! I was willing to leave which made my teenage daughter cry from embarrassment. So we drank water which they said was part of the deal. Then the the lasagne came out and the noodles were terrible. SOME WERE EVEN DRIED OUT!!! Had I not wanted to upset my daughter more I would have walked out. Then they served the salad....Dry Iceberg with carrot slices and two sliced cherry tomatoes. TO TOP THINGS OFF THEY SERVED US DRIED OUT WHITE BREAD TO AFTER WE HAD FINISHED THE MEAL!!! I know other tourist will fall for this terrible place....but at least I tried to warn somebody!!!

We were enticed by set menu of €10 for pizza and a drink and €6.50 for a cheeseburger but we made a mistake of ordering some ices slush drinks for our teenagers. Well did we pay for that mistake! Food was passable nothing special microwave stuff. When we went to pay it cist €95. The set menu items tital €43 so it cost €10.50 for each ice drink. My italian brother in law was not with us. He said we should not gave paid and told them to bring the financier which are the tax police. They would have fined them. This experience left a bitter taste in our mouths. My brother in law had said to us dont eat where there are no prices!! We wint make that mistake again. I wish i could rate at less than 1 star.

What a rip off. Don't go there! You can't argue so just paid! Absolute disgrace the added amounts! Obviously saw me coming and I was foolish enough to pay!
