My husband and mother and I visited Rome for the first time a few years ago and were delighted with our tour guide Ferdinando. He was by far the most knowledgeable guide in terms of Italian history and culture that we had during our visit. When we visit next time we will definitely use him again and I highly recommend him for anyone visiting Rome but especially if you are a student or lover of history and culture.

We loved our tour of the Appian Way and Roman aqueducts with Ferdinando! This is such a peaceful, quiet part of the city (esp. on a Sunday). You can tell Ferdinando loves Rome and its history. He weaved such an interesting and captivating narrative of significant historical figures, ancient sites, and local lore. Ferdinando was also so helpful with our Rome itinerary recommending restaurants, can't-miss sites, and transportation options. We appreciate his friendliness and accommodation!

This is our 5th time using Ferdinando for tours in Rome! His background knowledge from being an archeologist made the tours so much more than just hearing the basics. We have used him for the Coliseum and the Forum. And The Vatican- we’ve had him for a small family group of 6 And this past summer my husband and I got married in Cortona. We traveled to Rome with a large family/ friends group of 40 - ALL of our guests raved about how fabulous he was. That they had never had a tour the way he delivers a tour! He’s also a life long resident of Italy and is From Sicily. His wealth of all things Italy is amazing. He is very personal as well- gave us his cell number for any time we came back to Italy and has given us numerous recommendations on places to go, things to do and amazing food we needed to try! There’s only been one other time we did a tour in Italy where he was not our guide. It was pretty awful and boring. We were definitely spoiled with Ferdinando. And I can Assure you any time we are in Italy we will call him!

After booking two tours (Sistine Chapel/Vatican + Colosseum/Roman Forum) with Ferdinando through our apartment site, we were so impressed that we asked Ferdinando to take us on a private tour to Tivoli (Hadrian's Villa). What a delightful experience! Not only is it so peaceful and beautiful at Hadrian's Villa, but Ferdinando made our tour very personalized and calming. He is an extremely knowledgeable Archaeologist with a Ph.D. and is also very kind. I only wish I had known all the different tours Ferdinando does, as I would have booked all our tours with Ferdinando while in Rome. I've already decided that the next time we visit Rome, I will ask Ferdinando to be our guide for all our excursions. Graze mille, Ferdinando!

Ferdinando took me on a tour of the Vatican Museum on February 20th. I could not have planned for a better visit. Ferdinando provided rich context and historical significance to this museum’s never ending masterpieces. In addition, he taught me the importance of the life of an art piece, from creation to current status; and how moving or changing the piece impacts it’s essence and life cycle. Ferdinando was energetic, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable. I can unequivocally say he was worth the investment. Thank you Sir!

So glad my wife and I took the advice of a friend and booked back-to-back morning tours with Rome in Tours of the Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill on day one, and the Vatican on day two. Ferdinando was an outstanding guide, and we benefited greatly from his expertise, passion, good cheer and excellent English. Rome is wonderful, but can be a bit overwhelming. Ferdinando definitely cuts to the chase and helped us understand and appreciate what we were seeing. We got much more out of these incredibly important sites than we would have on our own, plus we avoided a lot of lines! Ferdinando is a good guy, and gave us good tips on Rome and Italy that we took advantage of during the rest of our trip. You cannot go wrong with Ferdinando and Rome in Tours!

Ferdinando, with Rome in Tour, is your best choice for tours in the region. He is knowledgeable and caring. Both times we were in Rome, we had Ferdinando guide us and explain the historic sites.
If you’re looking for a great time, he is your guide!

We took 5 tours with Ferdinando this past Spring Break. Ferdinando was simply amazing. The insight he brought to the tours was world class. His English was amazing and at first I thought he was an American living in Rome. His English was absolutely perfect. Furthermore, his subject mastery on the tours was amazing. It is SO worth it to book Ferdinando for your Rome vacation. Get an expert to bring history to life and get skip the line tickets.

Fernando was the best guide I’ve ever had in all my tours of the world. He is knowledgeable and funny and obviously very educated. This was the highlight of our trip. Trust me, this is the tour you want. I’ve done numerous tours of the coliseum. None compared to this one.

Ferdinando showed the forum to us with our 80 year old parents and our kids (11 and 7). He adapted his descriptions to both levels of knowledge and the kids were fascinated and intrigued. His English is without an accent. He delivers historical knowledge with an extra layer of archeological context due to his PhD and experience. He was patient with elderly difficulties in moving quickly. He also helped the kids find an actual piece of Roman mosaic on the path.
