Great fun for 1st time out of towners!
What a fun experience! Our first (soccer) football game! The Italians are very passionate about their Teams!! We sat in an area close to the other team and it was crazy! Would have been 5 stars but buying a ticket for 2 people on line is a bit confusing and then download the app and assign each person the ticket - it’s a lot…. A little confusing. And be ready for 2 sets of security checks. A lot of people to get thru and make sure you know how your getting there and back. Taxi’s are hard to come by…

    Full voiced Roma support
Attended the Roma v Udinese on Sunday night game. Pre booked tickets a few days earlier for seats in Sud lateral stand, which neighbours the flag waving, full voiced Roma fans in the Sud stands. Great, if distant view of the game which was almost secondary to the powerful and continual singing from the fans, orchestrated by the PA. Points for visiting fans. Nearest Metro is the A line stop for the Vatican and then a good half hour walk. Food stalls available nearer the stadium. One specialised in cold chips ( but would heat them on request!). Take your ticket and ID as you will be checked, bag searched and frisked prior to entry. Food and drink inside very reasonably priced but expect long queues. Toilets defy logic: one narrow entrance to enter male (turn left) and female (turn left). That was one issue contributing to congestion but to compound matters, to exit the toilets you return down the same narrow corridor! Expect close physical contact with accompanying pushing and shoving. Atmosphere generated by the swaying, singing crowd was one of the best we have experienced attending a game. Just go prepared for security checks, long queues and a decent walk to and from the ground.

    Not the main event
Not much to see on a non match day, tours available, you can walk half way around but nothing to interact with, read, history etc on the outside. The bus went there from central Rome so that was ok. Nothing negative to report just a bit underwhelmed.

    Let’s go AS Roma!
Very impressive stadium and staff manage the crowd extremely well. Love how each section has their own entry and the opposition fans are segregated. Only reason why 4 stars and not 5 is because you can smoke at the stadium. It’s 2024, this should not be happening anywhere.

    Great day at the rugby.
We had a great visit to the Stadio Olimpico on a decidedly pleasant February day. It was a superb atmosphere for this rugby clash, and well organised. One thing to be aware of is that if you're over 6' tall, the seats are very tight.

Good stadium and walkable from the centre
Came for the six nations rugby. Very easy stadium to get to and walking distance from the centre of Rome. We visited the vatican on the way and then it was a straight road all the way there. There is a little bar just before the stadium which is a great hang out spot for a few beers in the sun with the crowds. Stadium itself was well signed and easy to navigate. They could (as always) do with more people serving at the bar.

    Awesome Environment
We watched a Roma vs Feyenoord Europa league match here. It was awesome!!! The stadium was sold out. It was easy to get in and get out via Uber. Views were great. Stadium hot dog & coke were good.

Good atmosphere but a poor stadium
Came for the rugby - not the best stadium for watching rugby with the pitch surrounded by wide deadzones and trenches meaning the seats are well away. The barriers to prevent football hooligans are in sharp contrast to most rugby stadiums open feel. The seats were covered in bird poo. The bars only served half glasses of beer whilst charging full prices and there were no other alcohol options (eg wine). Make sure you eat and drink in the fan village before you enter the stadium.

Excellent atmosphere dodgy seats n transport issues to get there
For the 4th time we revelled in the excellent atmosphere at this stadium. Good views of the rugby from any seats. But watch out front seats had pools of water from rain in them and the hand towels everyone grabbed from toilets to dry them ran out. Also public transport to stadium rubbish as trams did not run and metro not near

    Roma v Sassuolo
What a fantastic experience, if you like football and are in Rome it is an experience not to be missed. Great atmosphere on the walk to the stadium, bars and food trucks on route. Do allow 30 to 40 mins to walk it from the nearest metro stop. Yes you need your photo I.d. And there are searches on entry but all of the staff were so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. We sat in the Monte Mario Nord section of the ground, which had mostly families and everyone was having great fun with continuous cheering, flag waving and chanting from all around the ground but especially the Curva Sud. Try get there early to take it all in. The Food and drink is reasonably priced and there are vendors selling beer, water etc in the stands also so you don’t even need to leave your seat!!! Toilets were clean and limited queues.. overall a great evening in Rome, one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend a visit.

After years of not going to the stadium .... it was a pleasure to come back to attend a football game. Then the safety cords ensure some greater safety.
There are bars and toilets inside as well as vendors who pass through the stands to sell other products.

Just finished a great tour of the Olympic Stadium. An hour's tour out of the sun on a very hot day was very enjoyable and our guide was great, presenting seamlessly in 3 languages despite it being her first day on the job!

4 stars out of 5 because the tour is much more focused on the Stadium (facilities, pitch side tour, press area etc) than about the two teams. A slightly bigger amount of info about Roma and Lazzio would have made it 5 stars for me.

Well worth going, especially if in Rome during a very hot day and looking for some shaded football distraction

I was here for the Italy v Wales Euro 2020 game, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The view was superb, despite me having the cheapest tickets. The organisation was impeccable, from the free shuttle buses from Termini station to the quick & friendly mobile ticket + I.D. + COVID checks on entry. Presumably these buses don't exist on Roma or Lazio match days, but their websites clearly explain how to easily reach the stadium by metro & bus.

Visited for the Italy v Scotland six nations game. We were please with the seats we had chosen. They could have been cleaner but others were worse than ours. There is not much in the way of toilet facilities. We decided we needed a bit to eat to sustain us through the game and were most impressed with the toasted sandwich we shared at a very reasonable cost for inside a stadium. We were surrounded by Italian fans they were very good natured but so very passionate.

I have never reviewed on trip advisor before but I feel compelled to warn people about an extremely mediocre experience at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. In fact I’m not actually sure whether it was the Olympic stadium as the disinterested “tour guide” didn’t give us a single piece of information about the stadium in the 50 rubbish minutes that the tour lasted. Were the olympics hosted there, is the six nations hosted there, when was the stadium built, what concerts have been hosted there - who knows??? We were told NOTHING. We saw some replica boots (not real ones) in something that vaguely resembled a museum - about 10 fake items of clothing. We couldn’t see the pitch because there was a concert being built on the grass and we weren’t allowed to see the changing rooms because I believe the band was changing there. We did see a press room - not bad for 80 euros for the 4 of us (sarcasm). Would really not recommend. Tour guide was on the phone to her boyfriend/mate/family member for 70% of the alleged tour. Thoroughly disgruntled. Thank goodness Rome is such a great city!

A nice tour of the Stadio Olimpico, with a view of the pitch, the conference area and the executive suite. Unfortunately Ultimo were playing a gig so they had their set up on the pitch and we couldn't access the changing rooms.

On the subject of the gig, because of Ultimo, the main entrance to the tour was locked up, but there was no sign to say where we should go. We had to walk for 30 mins back and forth before eventually going all the way round the ground to get to the inside of the ground. I feel some communication would have been beneficial here to give the review that extra star

This is guarded at all times so you will need to either book a tour ticket or explain that you wish to do a stadium tour. I viewed the times via the official Roma FC website which had a link to it.

The tour is done in a few languages I think although it is hardly necessary to have a translation. You enter the media area, hospitality section, 3 different changing rooms(!) and the finally the tunnel and pitch.

It ends in the bar area where you can purchase drinks and snacks and there is a club shop to buy the official kits. Well worth doing alone for the tunnel entrance where they place the crowd noises.

Exciting place to watch a soccer game … but be sure to know in advance whether your seats are on home or visitor side. DO NOT wear the wrong jersey. It is not like the U.S. where opposing fans sit together. Soccer fans in Italy are very passionate about their teams. Opposing fans are separated by barriers and have separate entrances.

Having been to Stadio Flaminio on previous visits for rugby, I was very disappointed with Stadio Olimpico.
*Biggest tip - visit the toilet before entry*
Never seen toilet queues so long for mens. I went down to entry level at half time, being a little desperate! No toilets there in quite restricted area. Men were pleading with security as their young children were desperate for a toilet. They met with limited response. "you cannot get re-entry if you go outside!" Some children went behind pillars.
*Second best tip - no bottles*
As this is essentially a football stadium then security treat it as such, even for rugby. Ladies had bottles of perfume taken off them (no returns) as of course they may throw them.... Water bottles were also banned.
Stadium was built for 1960 Olympic Games and it shows!!
