Visited 4 Feb for the England rugby match. Ground nearly full but entry was no problem. Security was very light, passport not needed, staff took sensible approach to security. Waving senior citizens and children straight through. Getting beer is a laborious process as no automation...More

We felt welcomed by the very passionate fans and were quickly involved in the excitement! I definitely recommend adding a game to any trip to Rome!

Definitely worth going to a game. American stadiums could fit easily inside of this. My husband and I picked a team to represent and then we had to be seated with those fans, behind plexi glass (which made it fun!). You must have your ID...More

How does this get 4 stars? Has anyone who rates this place ever been to a stadium? Umbrella confiscated, thrown in a pile and stolen. This was in the rain so passport damaged and phone damaged. Thanks is for treating visitors to the city like...More

Came for Lazio v Marseilles Europa League match. Well worth doing and great stadium but you must plan in advance. No tickets on sale at the stadium and they didn't come on the website. Fortunately we found a gatekeeper who gave us details of where...More

Although the team was a bit sleepy (lost that day) we loved the experience of coming to this stadium. The people were fantastic - lots of kids groups and amazingly well behaved fans. I was impressed when, during the pre-game, the fans watching a volleyball...More

We bought tickets before travelling for a Saturday game. Walked to the venue and got in no problem. Remember your tickets and your id, we took driving licences. We bought a drink and took it to our seat - how civilised. The singing of the...More

Great experience. Very different to English football, fans of Lazio and inter were sat together which I found very odd. A few squabbles but no fighting, around the stadium there were people selling food and drinks which was great. Didn't need to quee up, they...More

Hi Melina D, I would advise against bringing luggage to the stadium. On the first instance I am not sure they would allow you in the stadium with it, but also the queues can be very excessive so I doubt they would be... More

Tickets for Lazio do go onsale on the official website, typically 10 to 14 days beforehand. I don’t know if this happens for the derby match. If you do decide to buy them in Rome be aware that there are no kiosks or ticket... More

It depends whether you are watching LAZIO or ROMA as their home support have opposite ends of the stadium. I looked on club website for layout. We were in the family section to the left of the goals - hard core LAZIO fans... More

Serie A Soccer Stadio Olimpico (2 Replies)
Greetings Everyone, Me and my wife will be going to Italy from USA to see Juventus play at Stadio Olimpico against Lazio on March 3rd, 2018. My general question is how do I purchase AWAY Section tickets for this match since I am from USA. I will also arrive the same day as the match so visiting shops prior is not an option for us. I've heard of Listicket and Viagogo.. but do not see AWAY tickets. If it will be impossible for me to purchase away tix, we will just have to sit with opposing...More

Bruno, morning. The short answer is that unless you are Juventus season ticket holder or you have a Tessera del Tifoso then you won’t be able to purchase any away section (ospiti) tickets for this football match - at least not through any official outlets. The same applies to most football matches. Listicket is an official ticket seller. Viagogo is not. What time do you arrive? You may have time to buy from an outlet in Rome. Wherever you buy the tickets from, if you want to see the game...More

Trastevere to Stadio Olimpico (2 Replies)
Hello, Was wondering if someone might be able to help me? We are staying in the Orti di Trastevere on Viale di Trastevere in the middle of May. I am surprising my husband by hopefully taking him to the Lazio game at the Stadio Olimpico but was wondering what the easiest way is to get there? We are hoping to do Rome all by foot as we are located centrally so won't have bought any train or bus tickets etc. Which is the cheapest and easiest way for us to get to and from the stadium? Many...More

Help! Seeing U2 6th August (1 Replies)
We need recommendations for a cheap (up to €100) place to stay - ideally within walking distance of the Stadio Olimpico where U2 are playing on 6th August. We just need Fri night. I've been looking on all the usual places and have been giving myself a headache from checking where each one is and how far from the stadio! Got the concert tickets, just need somewhere to rest afterwards! Any help greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Giselle

Closest hotels are Hotel Cairo and Astor. You can also check for special buses for the event , if you can't find accomodation close to the Olimpico
