We hiked up to this area just to see what was located in the area and found a museum, two churches, the old prison and some wonderfully colored buildings. Worth a visit and the views are sublime.

We took a taxi to the top of the island and watched the bus in front of us squeeze through the narrow streets. Enjoyed the beautiful views and this historic site. We walked back, stopping at the village of Coricella to have a nice lunch...More

Can easily fall in love with the island just looking at the view. When we went there we went for a day trip but id recommend to stay over a night if possible to explore the whole island

Procida is a very small island, and probably the least touristy of them all. If you are there, you should make the trek ( or take a taxi) to Terra Murata. It’s the highest point on the island, it’s the historic center of Procida and...More

One of the most beautiful places we have ever seen!! A walk up the hill through gorgeous narrow roads to get to this breathtaking point. A must visit location in Proceda, Italy.

Nothing much to see, the view is amazing, but apart from that, it's not that impressive. Procida is small, so you might as well see this part, but I preferred the port of Corricella.

The island of Procida has many scenic places and a lot of them are concentrated in the area. Aside from the view of Corricella, there are a multitude of other photo opportunities including the former prison area and the Abbazia Di S Michele Arcangelo (church).

Very beautiful place. There is no museum or galleries just peaceful small streets with color and polite friendly people.

Terra Murata is the oldest part of Procida Island. You can see here the old archictect and as it is in the highest point of Procida you can admire wonderful panorama.

short visit to Procida from Naples (24 Replies)
Hallo! We arrive in Naples on a cruise in two weeks and we are thinking of spending some hours in Procida. From my search in TA and the net I have ended up to the following, but I would like to hear from someone local, if these are right. Well, from my understanding ferries and hydrofoils leave from Molo Berevello, which is close the cruise ship pier (how close? walking distance please?). The fastest way is probably with hydrofoil. How long is the duration of the trip with the hydrofoil...More
