Great experience....stunning building and artwork. The alters and organ are a must to be seen. Take time to take the opportunity for a little quiet and reflection.

I visited the cathedral on 15/08/2016, which is a feast day in Italy. It was touching to see and hear so many people praying and singing together, it gave me so much strength and positive energy.

It's an amazing sight. So many people robed in costume, their best clothes, religious robes, etc. It was so hot! i admired their... More

I have a fascination for architecture although I don't know enough about it. This church is pretty big and, as usual in old Italian churches, the frescos are impressive. Worth a little stroll around. Outside the church there is the bell tower, which stands tall and beautiful There are some bars and restaurants in the area where you can hang... More

The 'Duomo' of Pompei is a typical southern Italian church: very big, richly decorated and still higly frequented. The area is very popular by the locals, who stroll over the square and meet up with friends. Look for the opening hours of the small tower next to the church, a climb (with elevator!) shows a spectacular view all over Pompei... More
