My mother-in-law had a promise to pay back so we went here so she could give some money for charity. The nuns gave her some books and photos of saints. We didn't get to go in the actual church as I was not dressed properly to go in.

We looked in the doorway at this magnificent Church as there was a service being held and it was packed with people. The paintings on the ceilings were incredible. A real must see! At night it is lit up and looks incredible!

Though not many people that visit the Pompeii ruins visit, they don't don't know what they are missing! The Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary is not to be missed. The interior is something wonderful... and I've visited dozens of churches and cathedrals in Europe. There was a mass going, so unfortunately I could not enjoy the place... More

Amazing. We first entered one evening whilst mass was taking place, as long as you're quite this is permitted. Our second visit was during the day & we got to see so much more of this beautiful church. The beauty of it all is just amazing. Located in the city square with well kept gardens & a cooling water fountain.... More

We had a quick visit and wanted to climb the bell tower but it was being repaired, so we couldn't. There was a service when we visited, which made it even more special. The Church is beautiful and well worth a visit.

Amazing cathedral and being an American I was so happy to see that they had a piece of our World Trade Center with their flag and ours. United! It is a must see in Pompeii and you can't miss it when you get to this great little town of history! I love it here and would return again and again.

In Pompei is beautiful Roman Catholic cathedral, Sanctuary, basilica, which we passed daily, during our stay, almost hidden till we were almost on top of it. Located in the middle of the square, Piazza Bartolo Longo. I have gait/walking challenges (stroke), all sightseeing has to be well-researched and not overly taxing; I wear a legbrace. Parked the car, close to... More

Absolutely breathtaking basilica with miraculous icon - very special if you are interested in the history of 54 day rosary novena and the story of Blessed Bartolo Longo. It certainly is "a proper church" (a previous reviewer doubted that but I genuinely think they went to the wrong church) - this is a pontifical shrine. I believe the church does... More

We visit this church and were surprised by the many decorations of the walls. An impressive building.
