Absolutely stunning!
Mar 2020
This is a busy cathedral. The interior is stunning and is one of our favourites during our road trip in Italy. The wall paintings and decoration inside the church is beautiful

Beautiful church, visit tomb of Bartolo Longo
Feb 2020
Though the church is beautiful and imposing, what I found most rewarding was visiting the tomb of Blessed Bartolo Longo which is in a chapel accessed through the side of the sanctuary.

Dominates the square
Feb 2020
This Basilica dominates the square and the modern town of Pompei. From here everything radiates outwards, so lots of bars/cafes/restaurants and the resultant rip off the tourist. Inside the Basilica is very richly adorned and worth a visit.

Amazing detail inside the church
Dec 2019 • Family
Antonio from our hotel recommended that we go visit the Church - it’s nice - WOW what an understatement - it’s amazing. The story of the are; the church; the beginnings is wonderful then walk into the church and WOW. The beauty in the paintings and mosaics - pay the €2 to go up the lift to the top of the Bell Tower incredible views of old, new and Mount Vesuvius

Ornate Church & Tower
Oct 2019
After visiting the famous ruins we walked the short distance into the town. This richly decorated church is not as old as you may assume, it was started at the end of the 19th century and finished in 1901. The tower between 1912 and 1925 and has a lift which for 2 euros you can visit and see the views over the town, Vesuvius and the sea.

Really beautiful Church
Oct 2019
I know that saying it's a really beautiful Church doesn't say much; In Italy there are beautiful Churches on every corner but it is well worth a visit; The art is great and well described. There's a small museum but what really got me were the corridors of the building attached to the main Church; They're decorated with hundreds of drawings (mainly by children) Drawn as thanks or a prayer for intervention. All depicting some awful accident or Hospital operation. It was really quite surprising and very moving. One final reason for your visit it to take the lift to the top of the Bell tower ( 2 euros) for a unique view of the ruins and the modern town and whole Bay of Naples.

Breathtaking
Sep 2019
This is the most beautiful cathedral I have ever seen. The artwork is everywhere and is so amazing that photos and descriptions cannot do it justice. A must see for anyone visiting Pompeii.
