Great in depth tour by an archaeologist
Great in depth tour. We were lucky to have a trained archaeologist as our guide who provided details regarding Pompeii that another tour guide may not have provided. Covered all the hot spots in Pompeii that made the 2 1/2 hour tour fly by.

The highlight of our trip to Italy!
Lello was an amazing guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour personal and entertaining. The small group was so much easier to manage than a large group. Of all the places we visited in Italy, everyone agreed that Pompeii was the highlight of the trip. You will not be disappointed if you stick with Lello.

Pompei with Italo/ The Best Guide

Italo, our guide, was fabulous. He was knowledgeable and gave us good insight to the life of Pompei. I would recommend a private tour with him. He made it fun and we moved through the city at a good tempo. Booking with Trip Advisor was easy and reasonably priced.

Great guide!

The guide was very knowledgeable and funny and did a great job of involving everyone in the group across a wide range of ages. It was a worthwhile tour and good value for the cost.

Best tour guide in Italy

Lello was an excellent tour guide with lots of information, humor and charisma. He made our 2 hours very entertaining and intriguing. Lello is an archeologist and was well informed about the sites and knew all the workers. He showed us hidden gems and painted the scene of times past. He made us laugh a lot and I wish he was our tour guide everywhere we went! Thanks for the wonderful time Lello. You made Pompeii very interesting and we would not have been even close to learning so much if we had gone alone as planned originally.

Knowledgeable & funny guide, who spoke superb English; small group of 11 made it easy to navigate, hear & see.
Lello was an amazing guide! Our group of 11 was efficiently navigated through the ruins & we learned so much, not only about Pompeii, but also about Roman civilization. Lello was funny, personable & extremely knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing this truly SMALL group experience!

Great tour! Definitely recommend this small-group tour, it was much more personal and fun than one of the larger group tours. Our guide, Lilo (spelling?), was extremely knowledgeable and fun. Would definitely recommend.
