One could easily walk past this memorial without a cursory glance simply because there is so much to look at.
But it is quite nice & is located in the heart of the posh commercial centre.
On the way from the old town to the Riveria de Chiaia

This square, known as Martyrs' Square in English has an impressive column and bronze statue and four lions that represent specific significant people who fought for Naples dating from 1745 to 1860. Garibaldi was one such patriot. This was located in a classier and cleaner part of Naples and worth a stroll through. It was located on the junction of Via Domenico Morelli and Santa Caterina and one block north of Villa Comunale.

Small square dominated by the big monument, dedicated to all the fallen in Italian revolutions against foreign rule and during the unification.
Fitting tribute.

The column and the lion statues are worth looking at. Each lion represents the fallen in a different battle. Nice to be remembered here in the hustle and bustle of every day.
The piazza has many streets leading from it and can be confusing, especially Via Chiaia because you expect a big street. You pass through here in different directions but do stop and admire the monument

Piazza dei Martiri is a Piazza full of history. The column and the other items that come with forming a lovely Monument in the middle of the public square are dedicated to those who have fallen sacrificing their lives for their city. This monument is also a dedication to the fallen heroes during various revolutions of the 1800s, and to the Italian Unification. A nice touch. There are also several cafes, restaurants and bars in the areas nearby.

Found this place by accident while walking from the metro station after visiting the museum. Saw a bunch of locals so my wife and I got curious and we remembered that while in Naples we should try the Pizza. We were able to get a table. We were sat inside although i wished we sat outside since it was hot inside. The pizza was excellent and the prices were reasonable. For two pizzas and 2 cokes and huge water we paid 24 euros. Pizzas came quick. Would recommend. They take credit cards also if you like.
