We picked up a CBM brochure in Santorini and decided to go with them in Naples. Best tour we had on our 11-day cruise. Vincenzo was absolutely terrific. We sat behind the driver and marveled at his driving skills through the narrow streets and along the Amalfi coast. Vincenzo was very knowledgeable, engaging, and made us laugh throughout the day. If you want a great experience when in Naples, try and schedule with Vincenzo.

I arrived with my family from a cruise to the port of Naples on July the 25th. We reserved in advance with shore excursion.it the Pompeii excursion. It was easy to book and I had great communications with them (Pasquale Muto). There was our driver (Ricky) waiting for us with our name on a board right at the exit gate. Everything was perfect. Ricky is a really nice guy, very entertaining and he had lots of stories to tell !! We really had a good time !! After getting there, he waited for us at the exit of Pompeii site. We took about 3 hours to visit and then we came back to the ship. Total cost was 156 Euros. There are a lot of taxi available when we got out of the ship. So you can still take any taxi to and from Pompeii without réservations. It will be less expensive because you won't have someone waiting for 3 hours at the Pompeii site. But if you want to avoid some stress and are willing to pay more, this is a good option.

I never write reviews but felt I had to do this one. We did a 2 hour tour of Pompeii with Paola. You must do Pompeii with her! She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Kept our attention the whole time. Best tour guide we had in Italy! I only wish it was 3 hours instead of 2.

I was in Naples this month and had the pleasure to be served by Taxi Tour (Pasquale) who took care of all our transfers, including from Naples to Sorrento with a 2 hours stop at Pompeii. For this Pompeii tour, Pasquale hired a wonderful guide (Helena), who spoke Portuguese (we are Brazilians), and was waiting for us, at the entrance, with our tickets in hands. Our visit to Pompeii was a success! Thank you Pasquale for making our stay in Naples/Pompeíi/Sorrento such a perfect one.

TAXI TOUR: very professional taxi company with fair prices, knowledge of local area (which is not self-evident), well-maintained car, very good knowledge of Englisch and without any bad surprises at the end of the trip. Highly recommended!

We started out a little rough as I thought we had booked a guide. As it turns out, we had only booked a driver. However, Salvatore ended up being much more than a driver. He made helpful suggestions throughout the day that turned this excursion into one of our favorites. We ended up, on his suggestion, going to Pompeii instead of Herculaneum. He recommended a guide and she ended up being one of our favorites of the whole trip. He also helped us get into a great pizza place that we're still talking about. Great and professional service that allowed us to pack a lot into one day - just know what you are getting.

Driver in Rome was highly recommended to us for a tour of Amalfi coast, Positano and Pompeii and we were so glad we took the recommendation! Marco was wonderful. We could not have asked for a better guide and tour. As a matter of fact we used them for Rome (with Tino) and again in Florence with Marco. All 3 were absolutely wonderful and we were well pleased. Do not hesitate to use this company for any city!! You won't be disappointed.

Great 8 hour tour which offers the highlights of this great area of Italy.
Perfect for the one day stop from a cruise.
Tour operator, Peter, is very nice to deal with.
Guide Vincenzo was very entertaining, knowledgeable and fluent speaking.
Driver Cesar was excellent too!

Took a shore excursion on 24 July in Naples covering Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. Chose CBM which was way cheaper than the cruise ship's prices. Their service was excellent and the guide courteous, accommodating, knowledgeable and fluent in his own way. I think it was Vince. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and recommend to other travellers.

Have just returned from a Mediterranean cruise, and was pretty horrified at the cost of the Cruise Ships shore excursions, so decided to undertake independent travel. Whilst awaiting a train at Livorno railway station in Italy (to travel to Viareggio) we were approached by Josh, who advised of a couple of tours by his company - CBM Tours - to both Rome and Naples, but we soon established that neither would be particularly appropriate to us - we wished to do Rome independently and wished to visit Naples War Graves - neither of which would be conducive to the CBM Tours available. Josh was brilliant - no attempt at a hard sell - he told us that the CBM offerings would not meet our requirements, but then proceeded to give us some brilliant advice for our forthcoming trip to Rome. Husband then decided to change plans to visit Naples War Graves, and so we decided to book CBM Tour from Naples to Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, and booked with CBM Rep on the train to Rome. Picked up the tour at Naples Port, and had a fantastic day led by a very knowledgeable guide Vincenzo - who was "fantastico"! Tour took us to Sorrento, around the Amalfi Coast, and then onto Naples for a 2 hour walking tour, including informative detail of Pompeii's grid system of town planning, and the reason for the curved road! Thoroughly enjoyed the day, and Vincenzo kept to his word that we would be returned to our cruise ship in plenty of time before our "All Aboard" time. Many thanks CBM. Thoroughly recommended - and much cheaper than our Cruise Liner's shore excursion.

I am looking for a tour company or a driver cum guide who can take us for a 1 day shore excursion from Naples. This will be in September and we have about 10 hours for this excursion. Please suggest some tour company or a good driver.

Hi Sharla: I just saw your review and confirm that Sorrento was a longer stop, but the shopping was incredible. We ended up spending nearly 1.5K EUROs on a quality piece of furniture. I can understand why you thought it would go to the small village, but when I saw the description it did say the coast only, but failed to add the coastal highway is quite long. It wasn't until Vincent told the group of 18 people that it would take 4 hours just to drive that cliff harrowing road. We stopped at the limoncella factory and that a good potty break stop plus to try some limoncella. We even ate lunch at Sorrento. Also Pompeii was a lot of walking, but Vincent was a great tour guide with wonderful facts and anacdonel humor. I love his "Hey Guys" in Italian accent and his humor was funny. The tour really depends on the person. At $68/person for a full day, it was a bargain. The same tour purchased in a cruise ship was $235 per person. Lunch was on our own and cost to Pompeii is added, so add another 30 Euro's that makes it 98 or round it to 100 Euro and comparatively, it was a bargain. I did not mind tipping Vincent 20 Euros. He made the day. But I agree with you that tours should describe the tour in greater details, instead of pushing the marketing language. We found this tour in walking in Barcelona and the next stop was Naples. Somebody was promoting them in Barcelno and my wife and I tried it out. We were very happy we did this because Vincent was FABULOUSO....
