This place is perfect.
It was my first experience with museum of anatomy. And I am under the impression that this place has a soul. It's unique atmosphere- old closets creates wonderful memories.
Our guide was lovely and helpful.
We have received tablet with information in English.
The place needs to be recommended!

予想以上に良かった

解剖学には無知ですが興味本位で行きました。英語のオーディオガイドを貸してくれたので、過去の解剖学者が努力して遺体や病気の情報を残そうとしたかがわかりました。できることなら色々質問してみたかったです。

I was impressed by the efforts of anatomists to preserve the bodies and the medical knowledge. I think this museo could be a good reason for visiting Napoli.

A fascinating display of the Anatomy!
Jan 2020
First, do not go here if you do not like the sight of preserved human body parts. This museum is home to many anatomical structures which have been preserved or mummified. Personally I found it fascinating, Inspiring as an artist also, but there are quiet moments of sadness.
The collection is incredible and are well displayed. There are descriptions inside the display cabinet but only in Italian but you can get a tablet from the host and this will guide you through many of the displays in English. I dont know what other languages they have.
We had a bit of difficulty finding the museum and ended up going through the back door. Its only open until 2pm only so come early! You need around 1-1.5 hours here to really study the works on display. You can take the metro here and you need take Line/Linea 1 and get off at stop MUSEU -
It really is a captivating museum if you are interested in anatomy, science/medicine, the human analysis, etc.
The host was very helpful, pleasant and welcoming. Very polite indeed!
There is no admission into this museum, its free!
Definitely highly recommened!

Outstanding display of the development of medical science

One of the secret highlights of any trip to Naples, take a leisurely tour through surgical and medical history in this university collection of wax models and preserved specimens from the preceding centuries.

Lovely security staff are more than willing to help settle you in for your visit.

An enlightening exhibit and the warmest welcome
Oct 2019 • Couples
We visited the exhibit on a whim and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by a lovely man, who must be the nicest security guard in Naples, and he set us up with the highly recommended app and explained lots about the exhibits before we began. The aforementioned audioguide was excellent and detailed, and we we even provided with headphones when it became clear we had forgotton ours. The exhibits are beautifully kept and in some cases, quite harrowing. Not for the squeemish certainly but anyone with an interest in anatomy will be facinated. We spend about an hour here and we had the place to ourselves. Would have happily paid for the experience but as a free exhibit, we left very happy indeed.

A unique and shocking experience
Oct 2019 • Solo
This nice small museum has got some of really shocking an rare things on display. It may be not so pleasant to see some pieces like bodyparts and babies, but it's also not an ordinary place to visit as a tourist, like art galleries and history museums. It surely is worth having fresh experience here. This one is a real jewel for me and I am also very grateful for the kind people who work and maintain this place and the university it is located in.

Morbidly fascinating

If you are faint hearted firstly this is not for you. A showcase of the study of anatomy with some very gruesome exhibits. The attention to detail of those who made waxworks to show the intricacy of the human body is amazing. If you download the app you have an audioguide to go round. Thank you to the friendly man at the entrance.
