Incredibly busy Piazza with lots of traffic and people, but nice to see. It's on the way to the Piazza del Plebiscito so you'll probably visit anyway. There is an impressive fountain in the middle of the roundabout and there are a couple of cafes in the square.

Animated square replete with people and cars.

This area reflects the grandeur of Naples with some grand buildings ..
More shopping.
More food.
More gelato.
and then some..

We walked to this vibrant plaza from our cruise ship. The is a mall in this area with decent shopping and Teatro San Carlo theater is there. Many colorful resturants. This area was very crowded with both people and cars.

You can reach everywhere from here (on foot, by bus, by funicolare, by taxi). That's the heart of Naples. The monuments are beautiful. Yet, there are too many cars and you cannot really enjoy the square.

A little square starting where you can see a lot of interesting places in the old town. From here starts Via Toledo and Via Chiaia. There is Teatro San Carlo(San Carlo theatre).Next to this square is Piazza del Plebiscito, with Palazzo Reale and San Francesco di Paola church. At walking distance(less then 10 minutes) are Galleria Umberto and Castel Nuovo(Maschio Angioino). In the square are a few bars, little restaurants and caffes, including the well-known Gambrinus.
The square is a meeting point for those who want to visit Napoli Sotteranea(the Naples' underground) situated in Vico Sant'Anna di Palazzo.
100m from the square is the station of Alibus, for the airport.

This is at the confluence of 3 streets and looks more like a roundabout with empty spaces at the periphery being used as a parking area for cars and taxis.

A pleasant, small piazza located in the heart of old Naples. Its centre-piece is a large circular fountain and the piazza is surrounded by some multi-storied old majestic buildings.
There are a number of cafes and restaurants located in the piazza offering obviously, predominantly Italian cuisine.
Most of the food outlets provide outside eating facilities. Here-in lays a problem. The roads around the piazza carry a massive volume of traffic. This traffic creates a huge amount of exhaust fumes which cause the air quality to be poor. Therefore we chose not to eat or have a drink here, because of this unpleasant atmosphere.
However, should you like to grab something to eat and move on to somewhere else to consume it, then there are a number of outlets selling gelatos. It is a nice piazza to walk through and have a quick look. However, try not to breathe too deeply and watch out for the traffic. The drivers appear to adopt the attitude that pedestrians are “fair game” and have no right to be anywhere near the roadway.

Fountains not operating. Lively place with a mix of great buildings and shambles. Street full of motor cycles. Fun! But be careful.

Small square with a fountain where you'll probably pass by going from Via Toledo to Piazza Plebiscito.
