During our brief visit to Naples, we had only three hours to get a glimpse of the centre. We decided to walk to the Cattedrale di San Gennaro. From the airport, our bus brought us to the garden next to the Teatro di San Carlo. Along the way, we saw from the bus the huge Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, a lot of neoclassic buildings and the University of Naples Federico II on Corso Umberto I, the Camera di Commercio on Piazza Giovanni Bovio, and the imposing Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino) next to the Piazza Municipio. As our guide suggested, from the Piazza del Plebiscito we first went to see the Galleria Umberto I, then headed up the elegant Via Toledo. It has a lot of neoclassic and modern buildings and exclusive shops. We passed the Toledo metro station next to the Disney store. We did not have time to visit the station, although we knew that it is the most beautiful of all of them. On Piazza Dante, we turned eastward, passed the Port'Alba and entered the scenic Via dei Tribunali with the genuine Neapolitan atmosphere. It is narrow, crowded, with little shops, bars, churches and scooters everywhere! We saw the Obelisco di San Gennaro but continued to the Tribunale Di Napoli, then back to the Via Duomo which was under reconstruction, finally arriving at the cathedral. After a brief visit, we returned using the same route. Fortunately, we did not have any problems, despite the fact that Naples has a notoriously bad reputation! We have, of course, paid close attention to our belongings!

Very dirty and crowdy. Bad smell all around. The only good things were the bistros, bars and shops around.

Absolutely Napoli, the city that never sleeps, we have long and wide giratp without any kind of problem, in all the places where we went the welcome was at home, from the restaurateurs, to the bartenders, from the common people willing to help you find a place also that accompanies you. Fantastic😍😍

Our hotel was near the Archaeological Museum. Much of the historical center was close. Street life is vibrant day and night. In the museums and churches, most people are tourists. In the stores, the restaurants, the opera, and the street, most people are local. Don't visit Italy's past without embracing its present. In Naples, Italy lives.

The great singer Pino Daniele sings: Napoli è mille colori..., it's real Napoli is thousands colors. A city that is a planet. Love.
