Took this ferry last week. It was quick and efficient. What helped greatly was knowing that you must go to the ticket booth to get your boarding passes as the pre-printed ticket confirmation will not do. People are quick and to the point, no frills. This may be interpreted as rude , but they were actually very helpful. Enjoy your... More

We departed from Napoli on the SNAV ship LAZIO on an overnight trip to Palermo First there were just two elevators that could only take two passengers and luggage to the 7th deck. I let my wife wait and I walked up. I got up there before she did. Checkin was slow and confusing. Got our cabin and one of... More

I took the ferry from Naples to Procida. The agent sold me two tickets when I needed one. When I discovered the error, as I got on the boat a few minutes later, I was told it was too late to go back and straighten it out and should speak to an agent when I got to Procida. The agent... More

Horrible experience. Of course, I understand they could not leave in the wind, but this was the worst end to a vacation I have ever experienced. We were in port for 13 hours, long after the wind had died down. No one had any information. The staff was rude and disinterested. I thought one passenger was going to get into... More

Technically this is not a real stay during our recent two week Italian vacation. Still I booked the ferry trip from Naples to Palermo to save time since it's an overnight ferry trip where you depart from Naples and wake up in Palermo. We paid about $135 for two person cabin, but got a 3 person cabin facing outside which... More

First thing to note- finding where to exchange my already purchased room for tickets was the hardest/most stressful part. But yes if you have already paid online like I did- you must do this before you board. Ensure your taxi takes you directly to where the ferry departs (not just to main port) - there is a ticket office to... More

I caught the over night ferry from Naples to Palermo and was exhausted from the 10 hour overnight trip. Finding your level and room can be very difficult, but the staff was very helpful and friendly. The seats were comfortable, but after a few hours the ferry becomes so cold. I could not sleep because I was freezing. I had... More

We went overnight from Palermo to Naples on the SNAV ferry, which is also marked (and marketed) as GNV. The ferry itself would get four stars. We had a cabin and slept well, although it was a little warm. I've been in much hotter cabins on overnight trains and ferries elsewhere. The bar was fun and the food passable. The... More

We traveled to Capri from Naples using the fast ferry. We purchased the ticket online the night before and printed out what I believed was our tickets. However, PLEASE NOTE that you still have to exchange your printed tickets for boarding passes at the ticket office in order to board the ferry. There also is a fee for buying online.... More
