Fiorella provided the absolutely best tour of Pompeii -- and indeed the most memorable tour I and my family have ever had. I researched tour operators rather extensively to get someone who could provide an academic quality tour, not just the usual hand wave and move on. She exceeded my hopes in every way. Bright, fun, amusing and extremely knowledgeable,... More

I did the Elena Ferrante tour, which entailed travelling to the places in Naples that Ferrante refers to in her book series My Brilliant Friend. I truly enjoyed the tour, and my tour guide, Fiorella, was professional, friendly, and had a lot of knowledge not only about the places Ferrante refers to in particular, but about Naples in general, which... can do both in 1 day. 1 day at Pompeii would be too much. 1/2 day enough at Vesuvius. need to be quite fit to walk up Vesuvius but even if u are not u can take your time and own pace. beware of person at entrance offering out walking sticks. gives for free but expects money on arrival when... Hard walk up to the top of the mountain, but well worth it. just a note to say if yo are offered a walking stick, you will be expected to give them some money at the end of the walk. They are not FREE.

What was meant to be thunder and lightening was a gorgeous day round Pompeii. Our tour guide was lovely and informative and made sure to give us enough time for pictures etc. Learnt lots. Then just a short coach trip to the volcano. Although by this point the clouds had closed in. We enjoyed it still. Knowing we were so... More

We toured Naples with Fiorella Squillante - we wanted to see the neighborhoods described in the novels of Elena Ferrante. Fiorella and driver Salvatore were wonderful!! Fiorella is knows every detail of the novels and the neighborhoods; she is also a delightful, simpatico, and charming person. We recommend her to anyone who desires an informative and enjoyable tour of Naples.

Great place very interesting to see how these people lived before the eruption is so inspiring and also sad but as our guide explained people who live below vesuvius never worry if it ever erupted again. They say they have good food good wine and lovely weather so what will be will be :)

Mt vesuvius walk to the crater can be taxing (you are walking up a mountain!) But the views over naples and the bay as well as into the crater are worth it. The path is well worn but can at times be a little rough. We had a perfect day... no wind sunny but not hot. Takes about half hour... More

We were picked up by a driver from Naples and then met our guide Alberto at Pompeii. Quite simply Alberto made Roman life in Pompeii come to life for us. He never rushed us but found us the best things to look at, often away from the crowds. We couldn't have asked for more. It's a must do.

I loved this, the walk to the crater was a challenge for me not being as fast as some in our group but I was determined to get to the crater, and although I found it hard I did it, and was really glad I pushed myself as it was breathtaking, it was such a hot day and the cinder... More
