Well worth doing

We booked with Mavin Bike Hire with a guided tour of some of the most scenic views in Naples. Guido picked us up from our hotel and took us to where we would leave. There we met Max, who was our guide for the 4 hour ride. He was brilliant, so informative about the history of Naples, considerate to our wellbeing, ensuring he wasn't going too fast and that we stopped as frequently as we wanted. We visited a local vineyard and sampled some local wines and traditional Italian antipasti. On the return he stopped to let us see the natural phenomena of the volcanic area that Naples sits on. We could smell the sulphur, see the smoke from the magma and feel the heat from this too. It was a truly enjoyable trip and I would highly recommend it if you want to see more of the beauty of Naples. Thank you Guido and Max.

Great tour!

We did the "sip of history" tour in January, lucky enough the weather allowed it. Our guide was Tino and he was great.
The bikes are easy to use and if you're not afraid of driving a bit next to cars it is really worth it! The beatiful beachfront, Pozzouli with its ancient ruins and lovely athmosphere, some excellent wine and cheese in the countryside and of course the amphitheater and the suphur thermal outlets from the earth all give you a great idea of the region.
Really recommend this tour for a relaxing and interesting way of exploring the northern areas of Naples!

Comfortable and efficient solution to discover the area

We did rent the bicycles for 24h.
Guido gave us excellent hints of where to go.
It was a first for us in ebike, which is really helpfull as per temperature and hills.
We were then missing it in Capri, where only scooters can be found.
Mavin Bike, please just extend there!

A great day out

What a change to get something out of the ordinary. Great staff, good bikes and even better itinerary. Even at 65 my wife and I had a great time visiting ruins a lake and even had wine bread pizza and cheese in a local vineyard. We would never have experienced these places without the care and expertise of our guides.
Highly recommend this tour.

urgent recommendations for other guests

A varied tour awaited us on 30th june 2022.
Instead of a normal review, I have urgent recommendations for other guests.

Unfortunately, another couple from Australia did not prepare sufficiently and we could only start 90 minutes late. That was really dumb - but the Mavin team did their best to let the guests participate after all.
Important for cruise ship guests in Naples:
1. give your cell phone number in international format when booking.
This number must also work in Naples.
2. please plan for a 15 minute walk from the pier to the meeting point.

3: Cell phone and internet connection and cell phone usage
You need

- your cell phone, which is reachable with the given phone number
- the cell phone must have internet access on the day BEFORE the excursion and ON the day of the excursion
- Whatsapp on the cell phone with the phone number
The last arrangement with Mavin Bike Rent happens one day before with Whatsapp - it is desired that the guests confirm the day before also the participation again.

Good bikes, good helmets, very nice tour guides. Very nice place for lunch.

Wonderful Day Tour along the Positano/Amalfi Coast

Enrico was a wonderful guide. He picked us up from our hotel and immediately started sharing his knowledge of Naples and the surrounding area with us. He was very accommodating and adapted the program according to our wishes. Even though we spent the majority of the day in his car driving up and down narrow roads along cliffs and ravines, we always felt very safe and comfortable. Enrico takes you off the beaten tracks and shows you the true hidden treasures along the Positano and Amalfi coast. We had an absolutely splendid time and would recommend anyone coming to Naples to plan in a day with Enrico. Thank you for the wonderful memories! Grazie mille!

A great way to experience Naples

We took this tour with our teenage son who was a bit reticent about riding in the crazy Naples traffic after a recent bike accident. Our guides Enrico and Guido looked after us at every moment of our tour from pick up to drop off. They made us feel perfectly safe on the roads, blocking traffic and guiding us through tricky bits where necessary. The winery stop was glorious - nice food, wine and company. The stories and facts about the places we visited along the way were very interesting. Our (not-exactly-elite-athlete) fitness level wasn't a problem: the e bikes made it super easy to get up any steep bits. I heartily recommend this tour as away to enjoy some exercise, seeing parts of Naples that you may not otherwise see, in a relaxed atmosphere and with excellent guides.

E-Bike Ride with Vineyard and tour of historic sites along the way

Enrico and Guido were amazing guides with good knowledge about the historic sites along the bike path. In the beginning, I was a little concerned that riding in traffic because of all the congestion and aggressive drivers. However, both Guido and Enrico always kept a close watchful eye on us and intervened quickly to hold off traffic to help all of us safely to where we needed to be. The sites around the vineyards were breathtaking and something we would have never seen otherwise. We stopped many times along the way to the vineyard and get a rest and take pictures. The vineyard meal was also wonderful, with traditional Italian food and wine from the vineyard. This was my first time riding an e-bike and I can say that I am planning to get one after riding this bike. I was able to pedal up steep hills without much effort which I would never have been able to do. Enrico and Guido worked as a great team and I would highly recommend anyone to do this as long as you know how to ride a bike! Thank you E and G!

Best Day in Napoli!

Enrico and Guido provided us with a wonderful tour of the area! Originally we were a little concerned about all the traffic to start the tour, but they and kept us safe without any worries. We stopped at the vineyard and had great food and conversation. We sampled local food and wine too! We stayed longer than planned but never felt pressured to leave.
The tour included stops at ruins and a volcano. Our guides were very knowledgeable. I never thought I’d be able to get close enough to feel the heat from an active volcano!
Guido and Enrico were flexible, accommodating, and entertaining. They even gave us recommendations for restaurants and attractions for that night and the next day.
If you’re worried about soreness, you can ask for a gel seat.
I give it six stars out of five. And Guido makes a mean cappuccino!

Fantastic, Do this and you will not regret!

This is an amazing way to get close to the local sights and culture. Enrico and Guido are perfect gentleman. They see to your every need and are as patient as the year is long. Our group had varying skill levels from novice to experienced Rider and they took care of all of us. Pick up and drop off from/to the cruise port was flawless. The sights were wonderful, and the winery tasting and lunch was unforgettable. We highly recommend. Just know that this is an e-bike ride through city streets and country lanes so be prepared for traffic and some steep hills.
If you are adventurous just do it. The experience will be something you remember for life!
