The most beautiful and authentic way to discover real Italy! As tour leader, I booked bicycle excursions with Bike the Boot (Sannio in Bici) for a group of 8 Russian tourists during our holiday stay in Naples. We reached Benevento by train in inland Campania, a charming old city surroundend by the Apennine mountains only 1,5 hours away. At the arrival, a local guide welcomed us with brand new comfortable touring bikes and we started a lovely, relaxing tour of the town and the scenic countryside all around. We also enjoyed a genuine brunch in a local farm restaurant and later a wine tasting in one of the most famous cellar in this area. Such a lovely day! In the evening we got our train back to Benevento. Special thanks to Tommaso and Massimo who were so skilled, friendly, professional and passionate about their beautiful land.
