Boat trip around the island with skipper and party of four, the booking process was easy and Vincenzo was very polite and has good knowledge of the island, weather was very hot so there was plenty of soft drinks available. The boat was immaculately clean. Brilliant service received and will definitely use Vincenzo’s services again!!

Hiring a boat tour around Capri with Vincenzo Boats, is the best way to experience the coastline. Some of our group were first time visitors & hoped to see the Blue Grotto, but with sea conditions potentially closing it, & not wanting to risk disappointment with the ‘hop-on’ public boat tours, we decided to hire a private boat. Vincenzo’s glowing reviews convinced us to give him a try.
They were right.
We met Maria & Alessia at the Bar Grotta Azzurra & had the option to pay by cash or credit card. Over at the little marina we boarded, & met our captain for the afternoon, Carmine. The boat easily accommodated our party of five, & Carmine, with plenty of comfortable room to lounge around up front. We then spent the next three hours gently rolling around the island, in the sun, sipping complimentary sparkling wine. There was time to jump in for a quick swim, (wear your costume, as there aren’t really any changing facilities), & because our boat was small, Carmine could hug the coast & get us close to cliffs & grottoes that the larger boats couldn’t. He also explained some of the island’s features & lesser known treasures. Even though the Blue Grotto was closed, (& knowing what our first timers were missing), everyone thoroughly enjoyed the outing, taking in scenery & soaking up atmosphere at a leisurely pace.
If you’re thinking of taking a boat tour, & can pay that little bit extra, (worth every cent!), don’t gamble with the cheap, public boat tours; drop Vincenzo a line. He’s quick to respond & extremely helpful.
Having experienced trips on both the ‘turn-up & jump-on’ boats, & a pre-booked, private tour; we’d always choose Vincenzo.

We had this amazing day i'll never forget. We spent 4 hours watching great landscape and listening interesting stories Vito told us. The boat was really nice, comfortable and big enough us for. Of course this amazing day would have never been possible without the amazing Alessia that helped us during all the day. Her professionality and her smile are the reason why we choose Vincenzo Capri Boat.

Fine not great. Boat is classic Gozzo in great shape and company is professional and prompt, delivered what we ordered, etc. However, what was missing from our skipper was a passion for tourism and making sure we got out of the experience what we wanted. Make sure to communicate what you want or they will do the classic tourist route which is waiting in line after line of boats, breathing exhaust, to see inside a bunch of caves full of trash that all look the same. What we really wanted was to just anchor near the faringlioli, swim, and take pictures. We finally communicated that but the skipper seemed almost annoyed by our requests for photos.

You are the first customers ever to complain about our skipper, you have booked a tour of the island which includes visits to the island's caves, we have never had anyone complain about the caves and even find them all the same and dirty , our sailor when he was told that you did not want to see the caves but swim at the Faraglioni obviously said no because it is prohibited by law, he made you swim in the sailors' cave and in the bay of Marmolta, the boat returned on time and the sailor took your photos, but you still found a way to complain, you were still the first American customers not to leave a tip and to complain about the caves of Capri, are you sure that the problem is the sailor and not you?

Booked a rubber dinghy a month before my trip. Once I arrived at the port the dinghy was more than 15 years old, all ruined with an engine which struggled to move the boat as Vincenzo Capri reduced the power to a minimal amount (fuel was included in the price...). Worse place to rent a rubber dinghy.

We used this company last year for a private boat tour and had a great experience. The driver offered to take our photos, provided beverages, and was enthusiastic. He provided great detail on the grottos and various land forms. Unfortunately, this year was a very disappointing experience.

We scheduled a private boat tour on a covered boat with a bathroom. The boat was exactly as advertised and very clean. However, everything was down hill from there. The driver never greeted us upon boarding the vessel and proceeded to drive for 15 minutes while using his phone with reading glasses. Because he was reading while driving, the rate of travel was very slow. In the hot Capri sun, this made it very uncomfortable. Upon inquiring as to if we could move a bit faster to pick up the air circulation and catch breeze, the driver introduced himself and then complained that if we moved faster, we’d burn more fuel and complete the trip around the island in 50 minutes. We said that was fine and he started to move after putting on his sunglasses.

Less than an hour into the trip, I inquired if we could return to a swimming area we visited the previous year that has a rocky, beach-like area where you can swim, get out of the water, climb rocks, and take pictures. The driver proceeded to scream at us and declare that he has “lived on Capri for 67 years.” I retorted that it was not a beach, but LIKE a beach covered in rocks. As compared to other areas on the coast line where getting out of the water is not possible, this area is a rare exception. He proceeded to have an attitude and act like an adult child the rest of the day, making our experience uncomfortable. He never once offered to take a photo or even offered the refreshments; we had to ask and complain of thirst before he took them out.

This company should start by training all drivers to greet guests when they get on board, have a positive attitude, offer to take pictures, and give the clients a brief tour of the location of things on the boat, like potable water. This driver this time was horrendous and upon providing this feedback to the staff on the pier, they proceeded to laugh and not realizing that I speak Italian, joke and rhetorically ask “why didn’t he ask him to take a photo?” Probably because we didn’t feel like being yelled at by an angry and mentally unstable captain. Steer clear of this company and go with one of the many other options on the island.

Fortunately I can respond to these offenses against my company and my staff, personally if I should do a 4-hour tour where I am verbally offended I ask to go back, instead magically you did the 4 hours, you started again that there were no drinking offers when I personally found 22 empty cans !! You absolutely wanted to stop at the cave of the sailors where it was explained to you that the day before we were fined by the coast guard !!! I understand that since you paid for the tour you feel you are the master of the world and you want to tell us how to do our job, unfortunately we respect the laws !! Learn to respect older people like my captain and not allow yourself to mock him behind his back and let alone offend him while driving the boat just because he didn't stop in a forbidden area! I understand that you are an unhappy person who spends his life complaining, but we rent boats we are nobody's slaves! After all the offenses suffered via email and now on tripadvaisor I wish you all the best anyway and you can relax you are on vacation you did not leave for a war!

Many times you have to say how things went, she booked the boat ride through Caprionline, then she contacted us asking for a discount because she didn't want to pay the commission we pay for online bookings, she also told me to be careful because she writes reviews on Tripadvaisor, I don't think I need to add anything else.

I was excited to take this tour with my friends but after 3 weeks of traveling around Italy I woke up with the flu and messaged Vincenzo to tell him I needed to cancel because of this and his email response was "hahahahahaha" that was all. I know business is done different in Italy than the US but I have never gotten such a rude response from someone running a business. I will definitely spend my money elsewhere when I feel better and do the Capri tour.
If he is upset that he missed out on a tour booking than maybe he should think about how he handles business and require a deposit upon booking. But sending back that email response is rude and unprofessional.

Why you don’t say the true story? We been waiting you by the meeting point and you never show up , you never cancel the tour and we had the sailor and the boat waiting for you !!! Only when we wrote an email asking if you are coming or not after 1 hour waiting you show up writing no I m not coming, if you really think that this is the way to live on this word you are really in the bad direction, if you think is right let 3 people’s waiting for you and don t come without any phone call is very rude and unpleasant. We are more than happy if you spend your money with other companies, we don t really neee people like you .

Looked at reviews and my wife and I decided to go with Vincenzo Boats when we planned a day trip to the Island of Capri. Magical experience and the best way to see the Capri coastline! It was the highlight of our trip! We saw all the coastal sites including the Blue Grotto, Green Grotto and White Grotto in a relaxing and informative way. Romantic and plenty of room with opportunities for swimming which was excellent. I suggest that you wear your swimsuits as there is no room to change on the boat.

We took the 9:00 ferry from Positano to Capri and then booked a 10:00 4-hour island tour which worked perfectly. Prior to getting on the boat, we picked up a “Capri Sandwich” at Salumeria Da Aldo which is conveniently located at the port. The sandwich is a must have! Cooler with drinks provided on the boat.

We couldn’t recommend Vincenzo Boats more. Money worth every cent. Enjoy!

We couldn't have asked for more for our boat tour around Capri. My family (me, my wife and our 2 daughters who are 4 and 2) met Alessia on the dock and she arranged the boat tour for us with Vincenzo.

The boat was perfect - large padded area at the from to lounge around and Vincenzo was incredibly helpful in showing us different sights, finding wonderful places to swim and helping get our daughters in and out of the water.

It was such a perfect day we came back the next week with another couple and did another trip - all organised by the helpful Alessia again

If going to Capri, I couldn't recommend doing this enough. Really is the perfect day in Capri.
