Ciao! I'm Danilo Palumbo, known on the island as Danilo Capri. Together with my partners Marco and Pierpaolo, we founded Capri Boat Service that offers boat and dinghy rentals and charters with one goal in mind: showing our clients all the wonders of Italy's Island of Capri. We have a fleet that can meet any need, from traditional wooden fishing gozzi to powerful Itama speedboats, and our tours can suit any group or style, from island trips to transfers to destinations along the Bay of Naples. Best day ever!!

We had a really good time, Valerio, who was our sailor is a very prepared, professional and very nice guy. we spent a whole day with him, me and my girlfriend. he has created the right atmosphere for a couple who want to dedicate some time to themselves. It was all wonderful, I can't wait to be able to go back to Capri.

Stefano - best skipper ever

We have booked a three hour tour with Danilo and got Stefano as our skipper. He made us feel extremely welcome on his boat and showed us the island like a proud Italian from capri.

Stefano encouraged us to not look at the time when swimming and showed us every grotta along the island. He asked almost constantly how we were doing and he showed us „his“ little island in the best possible way! Do at least three hours, Stefano won’t waste time if you book longer als other skippers do, he is really looking for you to make the best of your time possible!

Amazing Capri tour!

This is a must-do when in Capri. Absolutely 5* service! Our skipper Rashid was amazing and really made our trip memorable. Very punctual and showed us all the sights around Capri. We did a 4 hour tour and got to visit all the Grottos and the famous faraglioni for photo opportunities as well as stopping for a swim in a beautiful location. Served us food & drinks during our tour as was super friendly recommending restaurants and sights to visits during our stay. Had a lovely day! Would highly recommend. Thanks so much - merci!! X

Stay Away! and book different company! Booked 4 hours, ended up having 2 hours of actual boat ride

Average boat ride service, could be better. We paid for 4 hours boat ride, but in total we were actual boat riding for 2 hours.
The Blue Grotto was closed so the Skipper of the boat kept wasting time and parking the boat in random places for swim, we told him that we have no desire to swim but he did stop so many times. We eventually jumped in the water for a quick swim of maximum 10 minutes, but he still continued to stay the same place, or stopping in other places for no reason. When we had 1 hour left of the 4 hours,, I asked to ride back the way we came to view the Faraglioni once again before finishing the boat ride, he refused and said "No.". Eventually he just drove the boat to the port the other way and without anything to see, which took 30 mins. If he drove the other side it would be the same or maximum of 1 hour to reach our total 4 hours boat ride as we originally booked. We departed the port at 9:10AM and arrived the port at 12:30PM, minus 1.5 hours of stopping and parking the boat in random places, so barely 2 hours at max of boat ride.

Also, the skipper of the boat was a chain smoker. Smoked so much that it ruined the vibes and mood. Instead of breathing the clean air of the sea, we had to breath his smoking cigarettes. We are non smokers, so it really disturbed us.

I've booked other boat rides with similar time in Positano, Amalfi Coast, and Lago di Como, but never experience such stalling and wasting time like this. Probably they tried to save fuel or something, at our expense.

I usually tip when I travel to Italy, but for such poor value for the price paid, I didn't feel the need to tip.
I wouldn't recommend this service at all.

Misleading pricing, be aware

Booked a 7 hour private tour from Capri to Positano for our honeymoon. Agreed to pay (with booking confirmation in writing) a TOTAL price of €919. The night before the tour, the owner texted me to change the time of departure and tell me that fuel is not included. We are on a budget. He said the price of fuel is €500, but agreed to give me a “deal” to do it for €400. We were very upset about having to pay 1.5x the expected amount and wanted to cancel, but within 24 hours he could have charged the full amount anyway. It was not the experience I expected. I wish the booking confirmation and total price were clear—or that the company had reached out to clarify this within the cancellation timeframe. (The website now says fuel is not included if you click on a list of things not included in the price).

The actual skipper was very nice and Capri is beautiful. We tried to make the most of our day and enjoyed the service, so spent additional money tipping the skipper.

Sadly, we feel like we have been misled and taken advantage of as tourists on Capri. This is not the only service experience here that has been a let down.

Great 2 Hour Trip!

We had a fantastic 2 hour tour around Capri (intentionally skipping the Blue Grotto to see more of the island). (Tip: we did the Blue Grotto by taxi and the line was MUCH shorter….). It was a wonderful excursion, and Rashid, our skipper, was such a warm and fun-loving guide along our cruise. Rashid was just so enjoyable to be around and really took his time to show us some of the hidden gem spots! 😃😀

An Amazing Trip Around Capri!

We booked a 3 hour trip for just my daughter and I. It was an absolutely lovely trip. The boat was clean and it perfect condition. Our skipper was knowledgeable. We decided not to go into the Blue Grotto. The line of boats to get in was very long. Instead, our skipper took us to several smaller but beautiful grottos along the coast. We stopped to swim, it was cold the end of May! Water was clear, clean and beautiful. This boat trip was one of the highlights of our Italian Adventure. I would highly recommend this company.

Pizza man!

We came off the mountain train to look for a boat tour and were approached by a man that looked like he came out of the sea. Leathery skin, head bandanna, beard ,and barefoot. Our initial reaction was caution but we took the chance as he offered a private tour of the island. He was as it turned out "Pizza Man" the pirate of Capri. Wonderful tour, he sang and told stories, took us to all the places you see on the websites. He knew everyone on the water and greeted each as we passed by. Try to find this guy or maybe he will find you.

disappointing! very disappointing

In the reserve, among the items promised but not delivered were:
•Spumante toast in crystal flutes
•Fresh strawberries or other fruit
•Life savers and other floatation devices to relax in the water
•Stops to swim
•Ice chest with water and soft drinks
•Limoncello sample

There was no spumante, neither strawberries or other fruit
there was only one stop for us to swim and it was in the ugliest place among those that were available, but easier for the driver. We did not even stop at the Blue Grotto because the driver said we would lose a lot of time and he would take us to a better place. Only he did not let us have an opinion. This was imposed.

water and soda were warm
And there was no Limoncelo sampler.

Besides not fulfilling the promise, the worst thing was the attitude of the driver, not at all friendly, who seemed only want to end the ride.

We did two more boat trips on our trip, which, for the same value, were a thousand times better than this.

I do not recommend.

Gorgeous views but...

We booked the three hour "Unique Gozzo Boat Sunset Tour of Capri". It was a little expensive at EUR 189 between two, but the description of the tour said that soft drinks and prosecco, champagne and limoncello would be included, and we thought that the sunset views would be very romantic.

On arrival we were told that the tour would be for two hours - the description of the tour (and my correspondence with the company) clearly said it would be three hours. Issue number one.

The rep from the company took us to a shop to pick up a bottle of prosecco. Other than that, none of the other refreshments specified in the advert were offered to us (or on the boat at all). So we had a two hour cruise instead of three, without all of the items which were specified as to be included in the price.

But the worst thing was that the cruise ended before sunset! We got some of the lovely colours in the sky from the beginning of sunset, but the driver drove us back to the marina (from which you can't see the sunset properly) before sunset itself and we were back on land about half an hour before sunset finished. In fact the tour only lasted 1 hour 45 minutes in total.

While we had a great time because we had the boat to ourselves and obviously had the gorgeous backdrop of Capri, we would not recommend this service as you do not get what you sign up for!! A cruise called "sunset cruise" should give you the full sunset experience, not to mention all the false advertising. We were very disappointed and felt cheated.
