During the day this is a very busy, crowed port with many dozens of small boats picking up/dropping off visitors, large ferries doing the same with hundreds of passengers, and many large yachts docked safely out of the way. In short, a working port. There...More

Nice restaurants for people watching. Get a covered taxi up to Piazza Umberto ....€20. We were there in 30 deg. so it was worth it. Otherwise it's quite a trek. Cardiac Central!! Good mix of shops and great views... Naturally.

Superb views. Well worth the short walk from the main city centre. Take your time, bring lots of water to drink, comfortable shoes, and spend your time people watching.

I enjoyed walking around to all the shops while my husband admired the many beautiful boats. It was quite busy but fun to watch all the activity.

Beautiful entrance to the Island of Capri. It is the center of transportation with great restaurants surrounding the area. Upon arrival there is transportation available to take wherever you want by taxi or bus. You can also take boat rides from the Marina to surrounding...More

Beautiful shops and restaurants at the Marina. A fantastic place to sit and watch the hustle and bustle of the ferry passengers coming and going.

I didn't find this area appealing compared to the area at the top of the funicular or anacapri. It's got a number of cars and trucks coming and going, its packed with people, and on a bad day the fumes from the boats. There are...More

Very nice view. We had lunch in one of the plenty restaurants around. Was good for the money. After some souvenir shopping.......normal tourist routine. Is good enough, just to sit and watch the tourist arriving and moving around......

Even is the most popular tourist attraction in the island, it´s the best place to buy souvenirs for the best price. However, there are many boats for swimming.

We have friends who go from Positano to Capri and back so I'm sure you can do the opposite. I just googled how to rent a boat on Capri and the first site I chose does do private tours including to the Amalfi coast.
