If you have a hotel reservation you don ‘t need to visit it. It appears to me they don’t receive many visits.

The tourist office only had maps in French, no English or Italian. The maps were not that great. The man behind the counter, who could not have cared a less, said there was no other tourist information to be had. Luckily we were staying in the marina and they gave us a great map.

As soon as we arrived in Capri, not knowing the island, we went to the information office on the pier next to the financial police. We found a lady who was railing in English against a tourist, then it was the turn of a gentleman, who responded with incoherent things, then it was our turn, we asked for one thing and he directed us to something else, to our insistence the lady replied with things that were not related to ours. requests. I think the lady is not well, there must be people there who don't scare away the tourists. I'll stop here because I don't want to be vulgar.
Luckily, some guys next door helped us, kind and precise, but it wasn't their job!!!!

Capri is simply a honey trap with little to offer unless you are planning to empty your bank account . The Public bus service is a complete failure. It is cheap but there are simply far too few buses to cope with the numbers. We waited over an hour for a bus from Marina Grande to Anacapri which pushed people to pay €35 or more for a taxi compared with the €2.40 for the bus. A similar wait for a bus back to Capri ! The funicular is a tad better and its age and design severely limits passenger flow. Other than the chair lift (excellent) and Villa Jovis the rest of the island is simply designed to extract cash from your pocket. A simple lunch for three was inflated from €50 to €80 by cover charge, water charge and inflated beer prices!!
I’ve been three times, staying the first time in 1996 at the Quisisana for a conference. I would not return unless a very specific reason

My husband and I popped in to ask a simple question about Villa Jorvis being open or not before we walked all the way up there. The older woman with brown hair behind the desk started ranting in response, something about 'rich men', which made no sense to us. We asked again, in case we had been unclear and her rant continued. When we asked a third time she became offensive and insulting towards me, which was completely uncalled for. We left. Thankfully her colleague (male with glasses) gave us an instant and professional answer, but her viciousness cast a shadow on our trip to this beautiful island.

Very rude and offensive woman at the tourist office. If you are Italian she will answer your questions. I'm English and asked a simple question only to be given vile abuse in return. Very poor first impression of Capri.

We just went into the tourist office, and it occurred to me that the woman behind the desk was quite strange. My partner is Asian and I am Caucasian. Next thing, she waved her hands around her eyes and said to my partner, "we don't want your type here." Then she looked at me and said, "yes, you're alright, and then gave a nonsensical answer to a question I didn't ask. My partner was clearly offended and asked her name and was about to let fly, but I was quick to drag him away because there was no doubt in my mind, she needs help.

We went to tourist office to get some information. There was a woman who wasn't interested of tourist at all.
She was quite lazy to answer to our questions. She didn't show any interest to talk with us and she had no interest to help us not at all.
Really very bad experience, we didn't get the information at all. It seems there is very wrong person to this work.
