I can see why many choose to marry here.. it has a special energy and romance and adding your own personal touches would make it your dream experience. Even without a wedding.. it’s lovely.. a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a quiet talk or...More
To be honest I was a wee bit disappointed in the cloisters. There was a couple who’d just got married which was nice to see.
We couldn’t get into the church as there was another wedding taking place in there.
Just back from the Marameo Beach which is overlooked by promontory area on which the cloister is situated is this wonderful piece of monastic history offering a tranquil backdrop to innumerable photo opportunities from almost every angle. I would be surprised if anyone could capture...More
They were renovating the cloister during our visit but once done this will be worth a quick visit. A quiet, cool, reflective space.
The church too is of interest and worth popping into. Nothing special copared to many European churches but shouldn't be missed.

The wedding ceremony doesn't take long. Because it's a tourist attraction there are tourists coming while the ceremony is taking place. It is opened air and there are seats put out for your guests. It is like a conveyer belt. Has one wedding ceremony finishes the next one is I only 30 mins to 45 mins away. When I was there as a wedding guest I see two weddings beforehand. When it comes to rain I didn't see any covering for that. Matter of fact it needs covering for the the guests and bridegroom who are sweltering in the heat awaiting the arrival of the bride.
Hope that's of help to you.
