Worth a trip, but do it yourself, go too mariner and sort your own cruise there are many to choose from and lot cheaper than going through holiday rep

The island of Capri is stunning! We purchased a return ticket from Marina Grande in Sorrento, I however, would suggest purchasing a single ticket over to Capri and then another ticket on the island upon return as our tickets had a time limit on them meaning we couldn't have a thorough explore of the island. We took a taxi up to Ana Capri high on the hill and visited the Villa San Michele with a picturesque view overlooking Capri town and the Marina, definitely recommended to anyone visiting Capri.

We booked a private tour guide to take us to Capri from Naples through Tours by Locals. Fabrizio was our Tour Guide and our day was amazing as we did not have to worry about any of the logistics. Fabrizio was very flexible and let us choose what we wanted to see and do. He arranged all transportation and was very gracious and knowledgeable. We had a lovely lunch at a restaurant with the most wonderful view of the water. As it was the last day of our cruise, it was nice to have a very relaxing and memorable experience.
Thank You Favrizio for making this day so special.

Take a private tour!! the best of the best !! Do not miss the "Visit Capri" tour! This was absolutely the best tour of our three weeks in Italy. Thank you so much Costanzo for your courtesy, I look forward to coming back and spending more time on Capri. We really liked also The Amalfi Coast...no words to describe it!!! This company is exceptional, our tour was delightful, and our guide was very knowledgable and shared the islands' history.

The headline is close to hyperbole, but it is a rather wonderful thing to do. For us, we reserved spots on a 12-person semi-private boat. It's a decent number that works well for such a trip, though obviously not everyone can hang on the bow at once.

The boat takes people around a few spots off the Sorrento coast, and then over to Capri, where one sees the rock formations and some cool caves.

Then a dingy ferries people to the island. For some, that's the main attraction.

Capri is lovely and fun to explore. Notably, the bus ride to the top is quite unique. A very small road with twists and turns. One has to obtain tickets too.

At the top you can explore there or head to Anacapri. With only three hours, we just stayed at Capri.

The city has many shops and restaurants to choose from. Certainly, everything is overpriced and the food at the place we hit was not great. I imagine a person's experience will vary depending on his or her preference for such things.

But the views are amazing. Walk along enchanted paths to reach epic views of the harbors. The nature itself is worth the journey.

I loved Capri, though I doubt I would return. It's something to see, to enjoy, to remember, but having done that, I would use my next trip to see something new.

We visited the island on Saturday. We got a return journey from Sorrento free price of €31 return. The boat journey was very quick but I would recommend getting there early to ensure you get a seat on the boat. The embarking and disembarking of the boat was very easy. My only criticism of Capri was when you get there there was very little information or people there to help you decide what you want to do on the island.
We got on the bus to go to the chairlift and to say it was hair raising is an understatement. The bus drivers I’m sure must be taught on a go-kart track because how they don’t have accident I have no idea. We got to the chairlift and went up to the top of the mountain in Capri. The views were quite stunning. There was a cafe at the top which served drinks and it wasn’t too busy so there was plenty of room to walk around and feel relaxed with no hurry to go back down again.
We went back down the mountain and went for a lovely meal in a restaurant before getting yet another hair raising bus to another location where we had a nice browse around some designer shops and other more traditional outlets. We then got the follicular down the mountain back towards the port where we spent a little time on the beach before returning back to Sorrento. I would love to have spent more time in this beautiful island and made a few more plans as to what to do and I will do this next time. Beautiful island and I would highly recommend everyone to go there.

Our experience through Visit-Capri.com was outstanding, from our first email contact through to the end of our tour. This was a very comprehensive tour -- our fun and knowledgeable guide Annasofia met us in the lobby of our hotel in Sorrento, and took care of us through the ferry trips, open cab ride up to Anacapri, chair lift ride, walking tour, funicular down to the Marina, boat ride around the island, etc. She provided great information and suggestions, but also let us have time on our own just to wander -- and then accompanied us clear back to our hotel lobby. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Capri, and the reservation process via email was smooth and responsive (thanks Roberto!). Highly recommend.

This tour costs 40 euros plus 5 euros transfer from your hotel. We left the hotel at 8.00 to catch a smallish jet foil at 9.15. The boat took us round about a third of the perimeter (we all thought we would go right round the island). We could then have the whole day to ourselves (until5.00) or pay 15 euros to be shown round the island. We chose the latter and I think it was worth it. We did not copies to eat with the group and instead ate at Axel Munthe's house, Villa Saint Michele. It costs 7 euros to go round the villa which is very interesting. But BETTER STILL you. An eat in their Chaffee a d feel like a super star as we had the cafe to ourselves. Lovely food and views to die for. I highly recommend it

Unless you like crowds on a boat I highly recommend that you pay more and get a small charter boat to take you around the Island. It's worth every euro. It was a lovely relaxing excursion with explanations of every highlight on the island. Take the bus to Anna Capri (less conjested) and then take a ride up the gondola. When returning make sure you get the bus to the Marina Piccolo and not the Marine Grande which is on the other side of the island. Wear a hat and suncreen, get a gelato and just walk around....have fun!
