We hired Sorrento Silver Star for our car service from Naples to Positano and back, with a 2 hour stop in Pompeii. Luisa made everything easy to set up, and offered great flexibility when we decided to make some changes on the back end of our trip due to weather. Drivers spoke English and offered some helpful restaurant recommendations in the area. A little pricey, but worth it for the convenience.

We used the service for various transfers for our Amalfi coast trip for 5 days. Transfers included pick up and drop off from/to airport, pick up and drop off to Amalfi and Positano from our hotel in Scala. Luisa, Massimo and Giuseppe were excellent and so flexible throughout the trip. The cars were luxurious (Mercedes), drivers were superb, every pick up was on time and they were more than happy to change pick up times at short notice.
It’s hard to find cabs/taxis in the Amalfi coast and public transport (buses) is not always regular. Would highly recommend booking transfers in line with your itinerary to make the trip hassle free. The prices that Luisa offered were super competitive and were not much more than regular taxi fare. Would highly recommend!

Me and some friends used this service in August 2020. We were brought from Napoli to Positano and, after a few days, from Positano to Pompei for a visit there then to Napoli. Massimo was our driver. His car was very clean and comfortable. Communication was smooth and easy. Massimo was very helpful, friendly, polite and professional. He's very knowledgable about the area and can give you good tips and recommendations in case you have any question.
I had to go to the airport while my friends were being dropped off at the main train station and he did not make me pay more even though it wasn't planned in the itinerary. Thank you again for that Massimo! And for the lovely short trip around Napoli before going to the airport!!
Once more, I cannot recommend this service enough and especially with Massimo as your driver. You are most definitely in good hands, sit back, and enjoy the ride!!

We had a great experience, in our visit to positano . First when I contact them the person in charge name Luisa was really profesional and answer all my questions and contact me on our way here to makes us feel secure. When we arrive on the train our driver named Massimo was already waiting for us, he drove us to Pompei and Positano, excellent driver, careful. He managed to drive us safe in our journey. We also did today the tour for the Amalfi coast where he took us to Ravelo. He stoped on the way and we able to have beautiful pictures. He did recommendation to a local Restaurant in Amalfi and wait for us while we explore the village full of life on an April Sunday. While people were waiting long lines to get the buses we were able to have a pice of memory of the bigger towns in just a few hours coming back to our hotel safe. Tomorrow we are heading to Capri and Massimo will pick us and take us to Sorrento to the ferri station. I do recommend this company, you will have the tranquility to focus only in having fun.

Highly highly recommended!!!!! This company was fabulous. We had multiple pick ups from Naples Airport and then a multi-day structured itinerary that included city/village transfers, stops with guided tours and hotel drop offs and pickups. The Mercedes larger passenger SUV type van was extremely clean, new and well air conditioned as we were traveling in late June. We had a 3 different drivers and each of them were wonderful, spoke English and were a joy to spend time with.
Our friend did all the research, communicated with Lucia and found that this company suited our needs the best….. and she was also thrilled with the outcome. It is intimidating making plans from afar and Sorrento Silver Stars was fantastic.

My wife and I used the Sorrento Silverstar service to transfer us from Napoli(Naples) to Amalfi coast, covering Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius national park along the way. Luisa was the coordinator and Roberto was the guide/driver for our trip. Luisa was very communicative and understood our travel plans and assigned driver and the itinerary logistics very well. Roberto, our driver was superb. He was very punctual, picked us up from the hotel on time, took us to Pompeii and vesuvius and then dropped us off at Amalfi. On the way to Pompeii, he discussed the logistics with us, and found us a very good tour guide, which helped us enjoy Pompeii even more. At Mt Vesuvius National Park, he helped talk to the park officials and give us updated information about the park hours and current status. Our plan to go to Positano on the way to Amalfi changed suddenly, and Roberto was very proactive in discussing us and Luisa, adjusting our itinerary based on our convenience and needs. In addition to this, he was very patient in taking pictures of us and even suggested scenic locations. On the whole, Roberto and Luisa were terrific and I wholeheartedly recommend Sorrento Silverstar services.
In addition to this, we used their service to travel from Amalfi to Positano and then to the Napoli airport for our flight back. Luisa organized the itinerary based on discussing with us, and another driver (not Roberto) was assigned to us. He too helped us very well and took us to Positano, showed us the picturesque locations and then took us to the airport on time. Overall the quality of service of Sorrento Silverstar has been superb and I will recommend them to anyone trying to explore the Amalfi coast.
In addition to this, we used their service to travel from Amalfi to Positano and then to the Napoli airport for our flight back. Luisa organized the itinerary based on discussing with us, and another driver (not Roberto) was assigned to us. A friend had highly recommended Silver Star Tours and they did not disappoint! Two words that describe the experience working with this company are WONDERFUL and DEPENDABLE. We were picked up on time in Naples and smoothly taken to Positano via a comfortable company car. The next day, our same driver Massimo took us on a full-day tour of Pompeii, Ravello, and Amalfi. Our private guide at Pompeii was full of interesting information about the incredible site. The best part of the day was the authentic Italian restaurant in Ravello.

Do no hesitate to book with Sorrento Silver Star Tours! Amazing service and an incredible experience. No better way to tour.
Transfer from Rome to Sorrento, with a Stop in Pompeii
We initially were going to train from Rome to Sorrento until we discovered Silver Star Tours. Luisa was incredible in ensuring all our requirements were met. She was prompt in her responses and if I might add very witty. Luisa suggested we stop in Pompeii on our way Sorrento. This was an amazing idea. It saves us a day in Sorrento.
Massimo met us in Rome in front of our hotel (an hour a head of schedule) in a
Mercedes van, a very comfortable ride that seats 7. Massimo dropped us off in front a restaurant for lunch and the entrance to Pompeii while holding onto our bags. On our drive to Sorrento, Massimo arranged a meeting point with our AirBNB host in Sorrento. Not sure we would have found our unit with out his assistance.
Amalfi Coast Tour (do not rent a car)
Massimo was also our tour guide for the Amalfi coast a couple of days later. Massimo stopped at all the great spots for photos as well at Positano, Amalfi and Revello allowing us to tour the towns. Massimo also arrange lunch at his favorite restaurant, da Nino Trattoria, in his home town. He called ahead and ordered their specialty, pasta patate!

Massimo again met us promptly as schedule with his comfy Mercedes van and drove us to the from door of the Naples airport.

All of the drivers were so kind, prompt and helpful with recommendations. They made our transfers so seamless from one town to the next. They also made us feel very safe because of their professionalism and willingness to help. In booking with Luisa, she was very responsive and made us feel like we were in great care. Specifically, she had one of the drivers meet us right at the track we arrived on in Naples train station as it can be a little unsafe for travelers. Instantly we knew we were in good hands.
I would highly recommend Sorento Silver star to anyone that is looking for a seamless experience.

My original car service canceled on me and I was referred to this company by Cina. I reached out just hours prior requesting a transfer from Naples to Positano and Luisa was quick in arranging a seamless car service. Roberto was my driver who was beyond accommodating and extremely educated in the history of Italy. I loved all the fun facts he shared with me along the way. I would definitely recommend this service and am very lucky/happy my original car service booking cancelled on me.

The tour we booked was called, "The Classic Amalfi Coast Tour". It is officially 8 hours, but went longer - 9 or 10 hours. The time flew by though! You will enjoy it.

We have just booked a cruise but plan to fly to Naples and stay in Sorrento for 4 nights to see Capri and the Amalfi coast area. We fly into Naples on the 12 th September. We would like to be picked up from the airport and driven to our hotel in Sorrento with perhaps a stop at Pompei on the way. On the 16th September, we need to get to the port at Citivecchia for our cruise. Can silver Star Tours accommodate us? At what cost? I would appreciate hearing from you.

They transported 4 of us from Rome to Sorrento with no problem. That cost us about 420 Euros. I have to say I'm sure they could provide transportation and I would highly recommend them. You will need to contact them for specifics.
