My friend and I knew we wanted to take a cooking class while we were in Italy. We found Chez Barone online and decided to attend the “Pasta & Pizza” Master Class. I am so happy we did. Maria picked us up in Massa Lubrense and drove us to the Villa del Barone. The views from the villa are breathtaking, overlooking Napoli and Vesuvius and the gardens are bursting with color and enticing scents. Our chef, Vincenzo was welcoming, helpful and shared so much of the joy he feels when cooking. You could not help but be enthralled by his enthusiasm. The pizza we shared was the best pizza I’ve had and the bolognese sauce he made for the tagliatelle pasta we made ourselves was incredible! When we finally left my belly was full and my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing. If you are lucky enough to be in the Sorrento area you must take this class.

This was a fantastic evening! The villa and grounds are beautiful. A gorgeous house with its own lemon grove and gardens overlooking the sea. The chefs (Anna 1 and Anna 2) were fabulous. They taught us very easy ways to make traditional dishes that were DELICIOUS, in addition to their own dish, Limoncello tiramisu! The driver was busy when it was our time to be picked up, so the owner, Fabio, picked us up himself in is own car. They arranged for pickup and dropoff right in front of our Airbnb apartment - no walking to/from the train station, which was wonderful! Would definitely recommend for a wonderful nighttime experience in Sorrento!

Have never tried anything like this on our holidays. It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. The pick up point is the train station in Sorrento at 11 am. The drive is very scenic to the cookery school but that was nothing to the views this magical place has. It is in fact somewhere you can also stay amazing to say the least. Mina the chef was amazing, the lady who also helps her (to which I cannot remember her name sadly) was also lovely. The masterclass began with Prosecco. Then pizza dough making, tagliatelle making, ragu recipe, tiramisu and limoncello. (All from scratch). Wine with the meal, food delicious. Thank you to everyone involved in making our day so special.

Do not visit the Sorrento area without taking this class. The property is beyond amazing. The chefs could not have been better, they worked so hard all evening. Not only showed us how to make each course, but also gave us some tips on how to make variations of what we just did. The owner was so kind to retrieve us when we were lost and then dropped us at our hotel afterwards.

We had an amazing time at the cooking school. We were picked up by Salvatore at our hotel and transported to the school. Then we met Agnese the chef - she was nothing less than incredible. We learned how to make Pasta, limoncello, braciole and pizza. It was the best experience. We also were with a family from Georgia. They were so much fun!!! Thank you. We would definitely do again.

A must while in Sorrento! An amazing cooking class at Chez Barone Cooking School with Chef Vincenzo. We learnt so much and enjoyed a fabulous meal of pizza, tagiatelle and tiramisu made with our own hands! We also learnt how to make limoncello and sampled the limoncello made with lemons from the Barone garden. The view from the outdoor kitchen is absolutely stunning and the Barone family are fantastic hosts. Thank you so much for a wonderful day!

We had an excellent experience at Chez Barone. We were collected from our hotel by the fabulous Fabio, given prosecco on our arrival and shown around the wonderful gardens and historic house. We learnt how to cook a delicious four course meal. Our teacher, Mina, was a fantastic and experienced cook. We had great fun and learnt so much. We even learnt how to make limoncello. Then we consumed our lovely meal with the other couple on the course. The whole experience was brilliant. Highly recommended.

Wonderful evening with dear friends in a beautiful setting! Chef was informative, was passionate about her love of cooking, and made the class fun & inviting for all. They even shuttled our group to/fro our Sorrento hotel which was a huge bonus! Highly recommend!👍🏻

We stayed at the property Chez Baronne near Sorrento and were lucky to attend the cooking course there. Run by Luisa with the help of Tatiana we spent all the evening learning how to cook the most delicious italian recipes and ended up eating them at the end. Highly recommended for the unique experience..!!!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Sorrento. My husband and I were picked up at the train station, lovely ride up the hills of Sorrento. The spot is fantastic, 300 year old palazzo, restored with beautiful attention to every detail. Walk past the stunning pool to the outdoor cooking school! The views, the set up all exceeded our expectations. It was fun and relaxing. Chefs Anna and Uliana were warm, informative and fun. Anna is a wonderful chef with so much knowledge she shares freely. The view of the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius in the background was a serene setting. It’s a calming, fun break from the crowds. The food was delicious. Highly recommend Chez Barone.
