Dear reviewer, we are pleased that you have been well with us We are sorry that you have not used our water station, we have positioned it at the entrance of the spa area so as not to bother the guests while they are relaxing due to the coming and going of customers using it, but you probably won't have seen it. Have a good day

Not worth the time tbh

I feel bad writing this review as the whole venue “tries” and maybe I’m just spoilt coming from London. I found it boring, hard to find (including once you’re in the huge weird building) and I didn’t get the sense it was that clean either. It was basically a pool, with sauna, steam room and then another room with chairs in and a berry tea. You get free robe hire and these weird foldable temporary flip flops. The main good thing was that it wasn’t overcrowded at all. If your hotel has a spa and/or pool, I’d definitely say just use that, but it wasn’t bad for a (literal) rainy day.

Dear Reviewer, We are pleased to learn that our SPA "wasn't bad". We regret that it was "boring" and "hard" to find us, but outside the SPA there is a large luminous sign and many advertising photos, Sorrento is a very small city and everyone knows the SPA ULYSSE, it was enough to ask someone ... In addition to the relax pool, sauna, Steam room and relaxation room with relaxation beds and herbal teas, we also have emotional showers, a hot Jacuzzi tub, a Kneipp hot and cold paths, a bucket shower, an ice grotto, etc. that you did not mention, in short, there is everything a customer can look for in a respectable SPA. Most of our customers appreciate the tranquility of our SPA and that it is not overcrowded because we limit access to a limited number of people, so we do not explain why you gave us such a low score ....

Pleasant and relaxing
Oct 2019
Three friends took advantage of the thermal spa/grotto on a rainy day in Sorrento. We spent two hours hopping between the spa bath, walking on stones, steam room, dry sauna and cool mist room and bucket of cold water over our heads. We enjoyed everything. We then made appointments for massages on the day before departure. one relaxing body massage, one deep tissue, and a combo of reflexology and relaxing back massage. We all left very happy and relaxed. Thank you to Vera, Italia and Imma T!

Very Average “Massage”
Sep 2019
Scheduled couples massage for wife and I. Spa was close to our hotel for easy walk. Spa looks nice. Wife wanted a deep tissue massage and I a lighter massage. The massages were so soft could hardly feel them. Rubbing of skin only with oil with no deeper tissue work. The two ladies did not seem capable of removing knots in muscles. Was not work the money.

Dear reviewer, you have chosen a Relaxing Massage (which costs less than a deep massage) where the maneuvers are delicate and enveloping to let relax the customer and where the therapists do not work on the muscles as in a Deep Tissue Massage, while your wife has had a deep Tissue Massage and at the reception, after massage, she said he had received a good massage .....

Exceeded our expectations!

This place is well worth visiting! My wife and I visit spas all over the world and were in need of one since our hotel did not offer any services but recommended this place. Reading the reviews we thought it was a gamble. Our concierge made a same day appointment for the only slots left for a 45 minute couples massage. We were not disappointed! We are used to 90 minute services but the therapists were very well trained to get a deep tissue massage done in only 45! No joke, best 45 minute massage I have ever had! The warm tub could have been hotter but the sauna and steam room were very hot, great relaxation lounge, a cool hot and cold pebble walk!? And all for a very reasonable price (€75 each for spa access and massage) compared to what we have paid in other, high end resorts. Details differ in every country so the massage table had a hole in it not a cradle, and they used paper rather than sheets. I thought it was clean and sanitary. No towels as stated but a nice white robe made of towel material came with a locker and key. They provided a little packet of body wash rather than a nice toiletries but it’s attached to a big gym and pool complex so this is a real service center for te community that I would be a member of it was in our city. Very glad we took the time to walk over from our hotel and get a thorough relaxing in the space and fantastic treatment from the therapists! Bravo!

Relaxing Spa

Peaceful and relaxing. What an incredible hidden gem in Sorrento, we had such a wonderful experience- very unique as the spa is inside of a cave which is still located a couple of minutes from the center of town. We had a well needed rest. Plenty of treatments available and a great facility, very clean as well. As a former competitive swimmer, I always appreciate an olympic-size pool. Highly recommend this spa.

Interesting experience

My husband and I had some time to kill on a chilly day. We went to Ulysse to use the spa facilities, but we did not have a massage or any spa treatments. For 25 euros per person, you can get a day pass into an underground grotto with a sauna and relaxation room. There were about 10 couples in the pool. The water was warm, but not as warm as a hot tub in America. You can sit comfortably in it, however. I've been to a few upscale spas, and this wasn't in the same league. My biggest complaint is that the women's locker room and showers weren't very clean. There was hair on the floor and trash from shampoo packs in the showers. It's more like going to the YMCA locker room than a nice spa. Bring your own towel. I'd also suggest bringing your own shampoo. It was something different to do, but you aren't missing out if you skip the experience either.

Great find

Have been coming to Sorrento for many years and never knew about this place. Down several flights is a awesome gym/pool and spa. Ulysses is a great find and we have couples massages and a pedicure down while there. The ladies do an excellent job and are very friendly. The prices are more then reasonable and a little tip after is greatly appreciated.
After hiking in Capri this is the place a a massage.

Lovely spa & relaxing massage
Oct 2018 • Couples
I visited Spa Ulysse with my husband on the last day of a 2 week holiday in Sorrento as we had 4 hours to kill before our airport transfer and wanted to do something relaxing. It was a spur of the moment decision and were lucky to be able to have massage treatments the same day. We went for the Relax Day which was €65 per person for 3 hours in the spa and a 45 minute relaxing massage treatment. If we just wanted to use the spa area it would have been €25 per person.

We spent 2 hours in the spa before our treatments. The spa is fairly small but is a very relaxing place, decorated to look like a rock grotto. There were about 12 other guests using the spa while we visited but we never had a problem with being unable to use the facilities when we wanted.
The sauna is good and hot, the steam room is quite cool compared to other spas I've visited but I don't know if this is the standard in Italy. I really liked the Thermal Walk (a pool of luke warm water followed by an ice cold pool) that you walk through to boost circulation. I also liked the bucket shower for an ice cold drench after the sauna, although I had to work up the courage to use it! The pool and jacuzzi are both nice with plenty of spaces to sit and relax.I also enjoyed the relaxation room with complimentary herbal teas.

The Relaxing Massage treatment was very nice, a medium strength massage with oil that encouraged relaxation. We had our massages in the couples room so we were both treated at the same time. The therapists were wonderful and we both left feeling blissed out.

Overall, I had a very nice time at Spa Ulysse. My only constructive criticism / things to know before you go are 1) bring your own towels, the spa provide robes and flip flops but no towels (luckily I had my own so that wasn't a problem but a number of other guests were confused and searching the changing rooms for them) and 2) you will be given a small sachet of shampoo/shower gel and there are no bottles in the showers, so bring your own.

I wish we had visited earlier in our stay as €25 for 3 hours in the spa area seems like a bargain. The centre also has a gym and swimming pool, if I knew that I would definitely have visited earlier as the pool at our hotel was rubbish.
