Alberto is a unique Italian-Brazilian artist and craftsman with leather: everything is designed and hand-made by Alberto himself (the shop doubles up as a laboratory/workshop) to the sounds of his background classic Brazilian music (Bossa nova, samba, jazz). Alberto is welcoming, warm, will always offer a glass of prosecco, chat and also discuss your needs and his craft. What you buy is invariably excellent quality and beautiful, and most of all it exudes that effortless, warm style which infuses Alberto and his shop.

After reading the reviews here, I put Bossa on my shopping list for my trip to Salerno. I was not disappointed! The bags are outstanding in design. More important, it's real leather, that will age well. There is no high pressure at Bossa. The store is small, the range of products large. The owner and his staff are working, designing all that you see. You can see the delight when you begin to ask questions as you browse. I bought a messenger bag and a cross body bag. The owner took time to measure and alter the straps (I am short). It was a pleasure shopping a Bossa. I hope to return again.

If you are in Salerno and love artisanal leathergoods this is the place for you.

The goods are made in the shop so you can watch then being created before your eyes. There are belts, wallets and bags of all sizes, shapes and colours and the designs are beautiful and unique. I bought several bags and a wallet; one handbag was a brand new design that did not even exist 2 days before I was in the shop! Whatever you buy, be sure that nobody else you know will have a bag like it.

The prices are also very reasonable given the high quality of the workmanship, materials and design.

The proprietor (and designer/maker) is a delightful gentleman who will probably offer you a coffee and will not rush you or do a "hard sell". He even gave me recommendations for places to eat (both of which were excellent by the way).

So, fantastic shop, fantastic designs and charming designer: what more could you want. (-:

This "bottega" (small shop) sells artisanal leather good, hand-made by the owner, who willingly talks with customers about its products' inspiration and about Salerno life.
Products are colourful, various, properly made and with a twist. Overall good value for money.

This unique shop has an assortment of handmade leather objects. The owner and maker is friendly and happy to talk to you about the things he has made. Absolutely no pressure to buy but you won’t be able to walk away without getting something as this place has very unique leather objects from this region

I have never had a shopping experience like the one I had at Bossa in Salerno. It is without a doubt the best place for leather goods I have ever encountered. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the warm greeting are enough to inspire you to purchase their fine goods. Outstanding! Absolutely Outstanding!

Excellent service, excellent product, managed by excellent people. I really enjoy shopping at Bossa, and feel at home in the store. I was offered a complimentary cafe and was treated by management as family. This operation is a must see in Salerno.

Having read reviews I decided to visit Bossa(Salerno) while on the Amalfi Coast in hopes of finding fine handmade goods. This is an artisan's shop so there's nothing glitzy about it, instead it's genuine. In an ever increasing run 'em off an assembly line world, I was enthralled with the honesty that permeates the ancient walls of Alberto's shop. The love of the primary ingredient in their craft spills onto the counter, and both Alberto and his assistant seem to have all the time in the world to help you find or have them create exactly what you want. I have four more days and will go back because pricing is good and I want more! Delightful!
