Climbed up to here from Amalfi via the Valle Dei Mulini, so I was a bit fatigued and dehydrating despite carrying umpteen bottles of water. I see tour buses and believe Sita Bus goes here so if you're not fit that's an option. I didn't...More

We had a small booklet 'Walking on the Amalfi Coast' from Cicerone with some 32 walks (also on Ischia and Capri) and walk 26 describes the 1.5 hour walk to and from the Torre dello Ziro. It is a wonderful walk with fantisch views starting...More

We walked down from Ravello to the Torri dello Ziro and then down to Amalfi. It was definitely quite a few steps down, and the path wasn't always clear at times, but the view from the tower was worth the effort. As you approach the...More

Worth the little walk in the woods. If you want a very nice view of Amalfi and Atrani from above, this is the best place to be! Don't forget your camera!

This is a beautiful walk off the tourist trail. We walked up from Amalfi town to Pontone (via A LOT of stairs), skirting beside Pontone on to the Torre Dello Ziro castle ruins and then down to Atrani. The route is not that well signposted...More

We climbed up from Amalfi, toward Pontone, and then toward to Torre dello Ziro path. Nice walk. Lots of stairs to climb, but it is worth it. Great view on top... with a small belvedere. Perfect wheather in december. not too hot, not too cold.

Enjoyed the trek to the ruin but was surprised by how many seps it took to get down to Amalfi. If we had known would have gone back to town for a bus down. Someone said 1400 steps, for sure it was a 1000. The...More

Hiked/walked up hundreds of steps from Amalfi to a viewpoint above the tower/castle. Got lost several times. Then walked down to the tower which is part of a small castle. Fantastic views of Amalfi and nearby Atrani. You can enter the tower and climb up...More

A bit of a hike, but absolutely worth it for the views. We hiked from Amalfi to Pontone, and then hiked the Torre dello Ziro. There's quite a few stairs along the way, but there are 3 or 4 vantage points that offer amazing views...More

We walked from Scala (elevation 360m) to Atrani (sea level) along La Torre dello Ziro trail. This is a great walk through beautiful villages (Scala, Minuta, Pontone) and amazing panoramic views of Atrani, Amalifi and the Mediterranean Sea. We caught the bus from Amalfi to...More

The closest town is Amalfi. You can take the bus or ferry there and then walk up to the castle ruins. Or you can take the bus to Ravello (it's on top of the hills, so no ferry harbor) and do the longer but downhill walk... More
