It's a 'nice for the price' review here. The story goes, there was a mafioso who wanted an art collection, which got confiscated and ended up here. Seems he wasn't exactly a connoisseur, but there are quite a few gems in the lot. Many will make you wonder, but there is sure to be something you'll like here. There is a laughably bad fake Picasso, and other bogus (labelled as such) paintings that are as interesting or charming as real ones. A few paintings lack labels- maybe they couldn't decipher the signatures!? Stuff from the 18th century to the 1970s. Judging by their guestbook, they may go days without a visitor. Two euro gets you a brief history, then you can wander as you please. At the very least, go for the kitsch value. An interesting diversion.

The entry was only €2, came with a walking tour. It was all in Italian, so I didn’t understand most of it, but the guide was exceptionally nice, explained things to me, and was very welcoming.

Most interesting museum from my stay here so far.

This museum have some paintings that were confiscated from a mafia leader fairly recently. The backstory is very interesting (our B&B host told us about it) but unfortunately all information is exclusively in Italian.
Still the paintings are there free to watch, among them a real Dalí and a fake Picasso if I remember correctly.
