A very touching and informative presentation shown on the walls of the house. Each listener has their own headset in their own language. Very well done.

The video presentation is projected onto the walls of the house. Everyone has an audio device in their chosen language and wears headphones. So there was no waiting for the "English" tour. I will not spoil the story of the sassis by telling it here,...More

This is a great place to start to understand the history of Matera and the Sassi - set of 4 relatively short films gives you a really good understanding before you go off exploring. Good value for money.

I really really enjoyed this museum. The history of Matera and the Sassi is fascinating and I’m so glad I learned about it as part of the experience of discovering Matera. Very moving!

Puts the visit into context. Audiovisual show on the history of the Sassi, far better than the usual 'Experience the (insert name of tourist attraction) without actually going there' show a of its kind. Follow this up with a visit to one of the reproductions...More

The four videos covered the whole history of Matera. A memorable experience, particularly for the suffering of the families in the Sassi in the Twentieth Century pre war.

The tour was 6 euros each and included a translated video synced summary of the history of Matera very interesting but for non Italians the best way to hear the commentary by using your own in ear headphones as the commentary in Italian drowns out...More

Well worth the 25 minutes and I think 6 euros to hear the history of the Sassi area. Done is Italian with headphone translations. Made visiting the area much more interesting

Highly recommend seeing this before touring Matera. Housed in an original house close to the Piazza Duomo, Casa Noha features a multimedia film in several different rooms telling the history of this unique area. Very educational and comprehensive. Gift shop on premises with some nice...More
