Mr Lino is a delightful man and provides the type of service that we all like to receive. He is friendly and offers various samples of his products for you to taste for free. He never makes you feel that you are under any obligation to buy and chats about local dishes and customs. He has a vast assortment of local wines, cheeses, Marmalades, sauces, oils, biscuits and pasta and various products preserved in Oil. They are mouthwatering products and the peperoncino scrokkia dolce is a must for all to buy. The products are quality products so dont expect to pay Supermarket prices but be assured that you won't be disappointed either by the quality or the price. You must visit this shop

I had a private guide to take me through Matera, well worth it. He suggested we try this shop for a tasting of their products instead of killing two hours for a huge meal at lunch. It was a very good suggestion. They prepared a buffet of all their delicious specialties. Different salami parma type ham, three different cheeses, dips and other very delectable items. Tried two different local wines that also very good. The proprietor and her assistant were very good hosts and helpful in explaining the different things they served and other products in the store. I think it was a great way to have lunch. It was still more than you could possibly eat.
