A very ancient and beautiful city. Interesting history, wonderful that this area is now a recognised World Heritage site. Take sensible walking shoes, the ancient roads and walkways are very slippery, having been worn to an ice like surface after the pounding of thousands of feet over the years! Wandering at night is highly recommended. The town is vibrant at this time as the heat is not as intense and it takes on another life, glowing in the lamp light. Very pretty.t

I was on a few trips with Antonio because after the first one I wanted more and more. He showed us all of beautiful things in Sassi and Murgia. Every trip with him was interesting and surprising - you can see how much he loves what he's doing. He has a huge knowledge about the city and he's able to tell it with wonderful passion and a sense of humor. I really recommend sightseeing Matera with Antonio. It will surely be the tour you won't forget!

Our guided tour of Matera was truly exceptional.
Every 'stone' and corner of the city literally came to life. A highly trained and very kind guide capable of dealing with every aspect of the complex reality of Matera, from the historical, archaeological, cultural and social, thanks also to his personal family roots in the area. The visit, although not private thanks to the maximum number of participants applied, seemed almost exclusive. Thanks again to Dr Rubino for making this incredible city even more wonderful. I can not wait to come back!

Antonio, a polite, friendly and welcoming person, showed us around Matera, telling us its history and unpublished characteristics. A person who puts his heart into his work and into his city which also makes him feel a bit like ours! Excellent! I recommend it to all travelers who want to get to know this magical and unique city!

This is what a guided tour of Matera should be like!

Antonio is the guide that attentive and motivated travelers should have. He led us around the city for over three hours, making us visit the most and least known places of Matera in order to give us a historical, artistic and sociological overview.
As a person of vast culture that he is, Antonio showed us many glimpses of the city that are part of the history of cinema and left us at the end with the desire to return.
The compensation requested is more than honest and well deserved.

An incredible experience. Kind, cultured and prepared person, who transmits passion for his work and for the city. Tour of almost 3 hours touching the most significant points of the city and, in addition, the view of some gems impossible to see with more numerous tours. Absolutely recommended!! Good boy

We visited Matera accompanied by Antonio Rubini. A cultured and very prepared person, capable of transmitting to us his love for his city, where he grew up.
Witness the change of the "Sassi", from abandonment to rebirth.
Passionate about cinema, he was able to show us glimpses of the city used to shoot very famous films.
