This is a review of the Museo del Carmen which is missing as an attraction. This visit was a good experience. There are 2 charming courtyards from old convent clostries. Besides the remnants of the monastery, The current museum also hosts temporary exhibitions of art and design. We enjoyed the Spanish food design one.

An old neighbourhood in the old city of Valencia, situated within the old city walls (if they were still here). Great atmosphere, shops, restaurants, bars and interesting architecture.

An old district of Valencia that feels 'up and coming', it's a mix of residential and touristy attractions. We followed the guide book's walking tour and explored little side streets opening onto pretty churches and squares, and less touristy cafés and bars.

This oldest neighborhood used to be situated inside the original walls that were built by the Moors in the 9th/ 10th C. and is located on the north side of the old town of Valencia behind Plaza de la Virgin & between the two remaining tower gates of Serranos & de Quart. The alternative, diverse & cosmopolitan area isn't only... More

Great for a wander around - Valencia's Hoxton? Restaurants experienced rather variable, not great. Brilliant graffiti.

The area of El Carmen is very authentic! It is artistic, lots of small boutiques, galeries, bars, little squares around each corner... You should visit the area twice; once to make pictures ( don't forget the great grafiti), and once in the evening after 9 to have dinner or do a tapas tour. Very nice!

This is a great place just to ramble around. Very close to the centre of Valencia. Plenty of very interesting old buildings. Lovely narrow cobbled streets. Loads of places to eat or have a nice glass of beer or wine.

The city tour bus stops nearby and it's a really scenic walk and a rather fun one, with flowers and local stores, most importantly, local ice cream parlor, offering mouth-watering assorted varieties and tasty combination of well-crafted helado!
