We are so glad we found this tour group! It was by far the best part of our trip to Spain! Miguel took us to the caves and to a delicious lunch as well as a gorgeous view of a Roman castle. We will never forget how nice and informative he was! It meant so much more having someone telling us the history and being so fun to be around all day! The tours are small groups so they are flexible and even more fun!

I was doing guided tours by myself and of course joined some in different cities, too. But this one was amazing: informative but not overloaded, funny and motivating. It lasted at least 3,5 hours and filled us with excitement and interest. Time flew and we were nearly sad when it ended.

Even this tour is free, we gave our advisor a tip to somehow express our appreciation.

After that tour we see Valencia differently in a more than positive and loving way!

We arrived in Valencia via cruise ship. It was very easy to find our meeting place with our guide, Miguel. Miguel was outstanding!! He was easy to understand and made sure we were all comfortable and accommodated all of our wishes. Since we were in Valencia on a Sunday, there were no entrance fees to many of the attractions we visited. We were also fortunate to watch a local dance performance in the center of town with children as well as adults showing the culture of this region. Miguel was passionate about his city and his positive attitude was contagious. When the tour ended, he directed us to restaurants where we were able to enjoy some tapas and wine and a little more of Valencia. We highly recommend Miguel for an enlightening tour of Valencia!!

I was part of a group who booked a tour about two months in advance. On the day before the tour I received a message changing the time to 12.30.
We waited at the arranged point till 12.45 when we contacted the company. We were told they would be 10 minutes. 15 minutes later we gave up.
Yesterday I received a message from the company complaining that I had posted a negative review. I hadn’t, it was another of our party. I did reply to them stating that with the appalling treatment we had received they were not likely to get a positive review!
The excuses they game were that they had staff illness and chose to rearrange our tour rather than the other one. Also the traffic was bad. No explanation for why they were unable to get in contact to explain that they were running over half an hour late for the rearranged tour. Avoid like the plague. Useless company.

I was in Valencia for 5 days and did the Free City Tour and had expressed interest in doing the Caves and Castle tour to Miguel and he ensured that he would let me know if there was a cancellation while I was there. Sure enough there was a cancellation and Miguel let me know and before I knew it, I was booked to go on the tour. It was my last day in Valencia and one of the best. I was able to get away from the city and see what lies both North and South.

To call Miguel a tour guide doesn't seem fitting. He feels more like a friend that grabbed you and took you on an amazing adventure. I was in a small group, so it felt more family oriented. Miguel is just the best and I wish him the best of luck with these tours!! He's proud of his city and loves what he does. Unlike any other tour I've been on!! You HAVE to do this if you're ever in Valencia, you'll understand once you do.

My husband and I spent 1 day here off of the cruise ship. We had an amazing time. Miguel was hands down the best tour guide. He was on time, very informative, and extremely fun. Our stop at the Serpent Bar was just terrific - like having drinks with a good friend. He even brought us Valencia oranges fresh from the market. He is very proud of his city, and a wonderful guide. Don't hesitate - it is worth every penny.

We joined Miguel for his afternoon walking tour of Valencia and were thrilled with our choice. His knowledge of and passion for the City is evident in every story he tells and every description he gives. His explanation of Spanish history -necessarily abbreviated- was concise and clear and his maps helped in the understanding of Spain's complex story. An eclectic range of stories from stone masons to gargoyles and Las Fallas.
Miguel's sense of humour and warmth helped make the tour even better. He finished off by sending us more information on things to see and do in Valencia.
Highly recommended.

Miguel met me at my hotel, prepared with a notebook of details to share historical facts and fun informative details, as we toured the old city of Valencia - his hometown! His fluent English and Spanish let me have fun learning spanish vocabulary and history as we explored. Don't miss this opportunity to see the city as a local with Miguel as your guide- it is a wonderful flexible tour! I highly recommend Valencia Explorers.

Just finished a walking tour of Valencia with a group of 17 . We all agree that Miguel was the best tour guide we have ever encountered . His knowledge and delivery were spectacular . But it was his warmth , enthusiasm and eagerness to please set him apart from everyone else . We covered all of the sights in the city center and ended at the Central Market with a Horchata ( special local drink that tasted like a sweetened almond milk ) . Miguel included many facts about the difficult history of the Jews of Spain , which we had an interest in .
If you want a great experience in Valencia , look no further than Valencia Explorers !
