Literally round the corner from where we are staying the torres de quart is a brilliant and free place to go to get amazing views of Valencia city from above. Quite a few stairs i wont lie but the top view is worth the climb....More

If you're in the area for the excellent local restaurants or Botanical gardens then you will definitely pass through this gateway. Part of the original city walls/fortifications. Nicely restored. Unfortunately, shut when we were there.

Definitely a must see when in Valencia and with spectacular views of the city once you have climbed the stairs!

Ones part of the City wall. It was said that through this gate, on the west side of the historical center of Valencia, Napoleon entered after his victory of the city. The marks of his cannon balls are still visible on the towers.

Stumbled upon this - fantastic views over the city. Well worth the climb - some high steps - but doable - lovely breeze at the top!

The other side of the huge gates in Plaza de Santa Ursala, sits La Pizca de Sal with outdoor dining. Very pleasant place to while away over a few glasses of the local vino blanco

Interesting tower on the edge of the old town (I guess that's where you would want it). I visited early morning so you couldn't get inside, but it's still nice to look at, and a pleasant walk to and from the center of old town.

Small tower which was part of the original city walls. €2 entrance fee which is ok just for the views from the top of the tower.

Valencia's old town is a bit sporadic with historic buildings mixing in with modern and busy urban streets. I never felt I could go to the old town and feel I was away from the modern world. This gate is a good example. It seems...More
