The dishes we had were delicious. They were laid very fancy on the plates. The atmosphere is nice. You don't have to wait a lot for the food. But you do have to look around for some place to sit. It can get really crowded in the evening.

Big building with loads of food stands were one can try different types of food (Spanish of course, also some South American). "Ham Cones", juices, nuts, fruit and fresh fish. (Outside the building is a restaurant that prepares your fresh fish or seafood that you have bought at the market) In the middle is a Bar/Restaurant where we ate Oysters... More

This market is well spaced out so it's easy to move about from the fresh food stalls and tapas bars inside to the outside stalls selling cook wares a lively place and full of atmosphere.

Very busy market full of locals & tourists so look round for best prices of fruit, veg and lots more beside. Set in grid system so use it to see all stalls & wares. Early in morning best time to go.

This is a remarkable modernist building, recently turned 100 years old. Inside, you can find all kinds of agricultural and marine produce, from tomatoes and cucumbers, through fish and squid, to turrones and jamones. It's a heaven for tourists on a gastronomic journey ! The building itself is very grandiose, with beautiful rooftops and all in ceramic tiles.

Superb market, products, buzzing with activities, colors, smells and taste. Buy some fruits, juices, a coffee or some nuts and dried fruits. We had a blast with the kids. Amazing fish stands, all. Kind of jamon!

There is definitely one great shot to be had of this market (photography-wise), but that might be it - unless you are a die-hard foodie with a taste for pigs' legs or deep sea fish. Otherwise, it isn't worth the smell, honestly.

This is an absolute must see for anyone visiting Valencia. We visited the market as part of a cooking class. THe market is very clean and the quality of the products is superb. Great place to make purchases to take home for friends/family (ex. saffron & paprika) instead of the typical junky souvenirs.

In the Old Market you can find various restaurants and places to eat, it's always quite busy but it's definitely a place to see.
