Really nice place to visit.

The Horchata there is the best I have ever had. 100 % original and tasty. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the place.

Most of the major market in Spain i found very good, but my favourite is still in Barcelona Mercat De Santa Caterina.

This is a huge market selling a wide variety of produce, most of which is of high quality. You can spend a couple of hours just wandering among the stalls, picking up a few free samples along the way. It must be even more enjoyable if you actually want to buy something!

I loved this market during my stay. It is beautiful and offers so many options for food outside of restaurants, such as bocadillos, cut fruit, etc. I also bought some yummy chocolate for baking. If I lived in Valencia I'd visit every day!

Great food stalls, with stunning produce. The vendors are all very chatty and happy to give you their views as to what is at its best on a particular day. The fish section is particularly impressive and you can take your purchase to a restaurant nearby, which will cook it for your for €4 per person. Great way to try... More

Unlike the market in Barcelona this one is extremely clean and so much less frantic. The booths are spectacular displays of fruits, fish, meats, candies and so much more. I bought the best grapefruit I ever tasted here :)! Definitely Worth strolling thru!

Whether or not you are in need of food, just for a snack, or for your accommodation in Valencia, the Mercat Central is not to be missed. With over 900 stalls here, you won't be at a loss for stimulation for the senses, eyes, nose, touch etc. Oranges, olives, jamon..jamon y mas jamon. Yes it is all here. Do you... More
