Situated nicely in the centre of the old city, in a nice, old building. But it is still just a large house where they sell fish, meat, delis, and veggies. I think I spent 20 minutes there and that was about the time it took...More

We decided to pay this a visit after seeing Rick Stein buying produce here on his Mediteranean experience show, and I have to say, it really did not do it justice! The array of produce, and quality on offer was simply astounding, and the atmosphere...More

The place is good for a drink or coffee. I spent one hour there to have some cakes and coffee and it tasted good but the staff should be mor service minded.

This is worth a visit - even if you just walk through it. Good place to buy fruit, cheese, meats and fish - I believe it's one of the largest indoor food markets in Europe.

Mercado Central is located in the heart of the old town. You can find almost everything in the numerous stalls - from fresh fruits and vegetables to seafood and excellent quality meat. The best time to visit is in the morning.

Colourful and vibrant market with variety of local staples with an atmosphere to match. The only problem is that it pales in comparison to the market in Barcelona; where I was just a month ago.

They definitely sell fartons at the market, but don't know if the market will be open during this time. Some local cafes sell fartons too
