We went sightseeing in the morning and dropped by the restaurant for lunch. It was very busy but we were quite lucky to get a table outside by the canal. The staffs are attentive and friendly. We ordered set menu for 3 of us, good potion of food and the paella was very yummy, not too salty plus the rice... More

Visited here recently based on the good reviews of parque natural de la albufera. We were visiting valencia so it was on our way home. It's off season now so everything was quiet which I love. Lots of little restaurants and canals and many options to take a boat trip onto the lake. You can easily pass a few hours... More

This village was easy to find by car. Driving on the CV500 from Valencia town it was well signposted, and in the village there were plenty of places to park. It is a rather quaint place with lots of restaurants. We had the famous eels to start with followed by a delicious Paella Marinara. Unfortunately the weather was rather unsettled... More

We stayed in Les Gavines near El Palmar for a week in May this year. The area is beautiful but we found both that at this time of year that the many of the restaurants and shops in all the villages and towns are completely closed, and in any event even in high season many do not open during the... We ended our daytrip to Albufera here. I guess, you must come prepared if you want to chose a good place to eat - there are so many of them! We've got the mpression, howeverm that tourists are not always super-welcome here... It is obvious that many places cater for big (bussed?) groups, so we had a problem finding a... More

The town (or is it a big village?) of El Palmar is the starting point for visits to the excellent wildlife reserve of Albufera; and it’s well worth staying around and enjoying it in its own right. A haven of peace and quiet after the bustle of Valencia, its canals and the proximity of sea and lagoon give in the... More

I'm not sure if we went on the best possible day ever or what, but there were NO tourists in town, and it was early July. Beautiful quaint little town, happy helpful non-English speaking shop owners, and tons of little restaurants. We went all the way to the end of town, a small restaurant Tonica something.... But, 12€ each for... More

Great Paella and people - My wife and I went to the small village where Paella originated from and had some fantastic food. Food took about an hour to prepare - which was enough time to relax and enjoy the people.
