The city centre was not damaged by wars and this can clearly be seen and felt. Enjoy walking - and learn to accept that some narrow street are accessible for (local) trafic... Numerous restaurants and many are not at all tourist traps.

You can wander around the alleyways of the old town to your hearts content and it does not cost you a bean. Wonderful restaurants/bars hidden away, shops, plaza's to sit in and enjoy the sun and or course the stunning buildings all around you, just...More

What a grat place to stroll around. You could spend a week here and not see it all. The buildings date back to 1400, architecture is fantastic, a must see, too much to talk about. Will revisit.

Valencia is a mix of old and new. The old city isn't the most authentic in Spain, but is worth at least a day of leisure walks.

The old town consists of several areas, some dating back to the Romans and Moors, some medieval. Just walk around and loose yourself - so much to discover - full of authenticity

Great place to visit. Lots of little alleys with bars and restaraunts. It has 2 large plazas and lots of smaller ones. We visited at new year and there was an outdoor ice rink and a small funfair for kids.

Ihana tunnelmallinen ja yllätyksiä täynnä oleva vanha kaupunki. Kapeita kujia ja houkuttelevia ravintoloita, isoja ja pieniä aukioita ja rento ilmapiiri. :) Great and inviting atmosphere all around. Narrow old town streets, small nice restaurants and old town squares. Really nice area! :)

This place is for those who like immersion in history, for those who tend to get lost in architecture. The historic center of Valencia with all the parks/plazas/ squares no matter how you call them, equally beautiful and the small and narrow streets - some...More

Plaza de la Virgen is the very heart of Old Town. Do not miss calle Caballeros, plaza Lope de Vega, Lonja and Mercado Central, all of them within a 5 minute walking distance.
