This monastery in the heart of the Barrio del Carmen has temporary art exhibits in a characterful setting. The exhibits have become more and more interesting in the course of the years.

Went in because it stared to rain. Free entrance. An oasis of calm, we looked the contemporary art that was around. Difficult to get information because no-one spoke English. They asked when we went in" what Country from?" I asked for literature in English but...More

Lovely building and interesting architectural features inside plus a large open air garden. At the moment there is theatre inside that resembles a metal shanty town type home. With seating for about 20 people it is apparently a show about lost dogs. Pity the information...More

I loved the place. Perfect to get disconnected from the city and become absorbed by modern art. There is a lot to see and the place is quiet and beautiful. Modern art is just not everybody nor for everyday, hence the 4 starts.

This is worth a visit for the building alone - a former convent - and the remains of an Islamic building visible through glass panels in the floor. The building is vast and has a peaceful courtyard garden in the middle. The modern art pieces...More
