- permia40,479 contributionsFabulous sandy expanseRegarded as the most famous of the city’s beaches, it’s a fabulous sandy expanse. With a great lengthy promenade beside. Nearby is the grand boat sculpture and fountain, Barco de Agua - Nau de L'aigua. Also worth diverting for is the interesting Casa-Museo Blasco Ibañez, dedicated to the well known Spanish writer.Visited February 2022Written May 2, 2022
- Anna CChichester, United Kingdom586 contributionsWidest beach ever!A warm(ish) January day we came here from the city of Valencia and are pleased we did. Most of the restaurants on the front were closed, but we still walked around and took in the widest beach, can imagine in the summer this place is rammed! Nice area with large promenade for walking/running and cycling. Would definitely recommend a visit even for a quick walk around.Visited January 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten January 18, 2020
- VadimMurmansk, Russia26,386 contributions200-m width, fine golden sand and good transport accessibility. The most famous of all the beaches of Valencia got its name when in the middle of the 19th century it was transformed from a swampy area into a flower plantation of mallow (malva rossa - red mallow). There is a tram along the beach, so you can choose a place to get off. Valencia is not a resort town, so Malvarossa is a city beach. There are no hotels lined up along the embankment, and ordinary houses are often not in the best condition. People come here after work or study. With tables, food. Its 200-m width, fine golden sand and good transport accessibility made it the most popular in the city. Some elements of the service are present: rental of umbrellas and sun loungers, kiosks with drinks., volleyball, exercise equipment. There is no shower, only you can only wash your feet. ..Visited July 2022Written May 7, 2023

- lucy4414925 contributionsNice clean beach! We visited the beach on a Thursday morning in early October. It wasn’t busy and the sand appeared to be very clean. There were numerous places to rinse the sand off before leaving the beach, and a good promenade for walking if you didn’t want to go on the sand. Nothing we could see in the way of seaside shops selling sun hats, or buckets and spades, or sweets or anything. There were plenty of places to eat and drink but the one we chose was a bit overpriced and the food was disappointing (but we expected that); though the toilets were clean. It was nice to get out of the city and see something different.Visited October 2021Written October 7, 2021
- SoresijiTrapani, Italy33 contributionsWonderful and funExcellent experience for the whole family. The beach is kept clean and neat, fully equipped with sport facilities, showers, playgrounds, and is decked with tens of sidelong restaurants. We visited in January and enjoyed the long stretches of white sand, warming sunlight, relaxing walks, and lots of fun playing. A specific spot is especially enjoyable, the Alboraia area with relaxing palm trees, parrot chirping, nice sunbathed restaurants in a pedestrian area. We will definitely return and highly recommend it!Visited January 2022Written January 9, 2022
- olzybots38 contributionsImmaculately clean beach, an easy bus or tram ride away from centroThe trip to the beach was easy by tram. The sand was absolutely clean (no debris at all) and water was nippy but the waves were great. Definitely come with the kids. And swim even in May. I wore a cap and body surfed with some pretty big waves.Visited May 2023Written May 23, 2023

In theory, this is a nice beach, and I used to come swimming here to relax after work. But it is ruined by two things - pointless noisy jet skis racing around near the beach and the crazy loud music from the bars in the port area, which you can hear all the way up to Patacona. I can't believe the port music is even legal it is so loud, and the jet skis are a hazard, bad for wildlife, as well as human health. I'm not sure if the Ayuntamiento can address these things - on the whole I think they are good on environmental issues. But I won't be back to Malvarosa unless I can find a time when the music and the jet skis are switched off.

This is a perfect family beach. Gentle slop, white sand, blue waters. Lots of after-bath showers. Easily accessible by road, metro and bus as well as bicycle. There are number of volleyball matches being organized on the shore. There are also a few eateries. What it lacks is toilets for the visitors.

How much will it be by taxi to the beach from the cruise port terminal? Thanks

You wont need to get a taxi as there are buses that run the length of the beach. Think they run to the port, if not just walk from the port to the big hotel with the beach club and you can get on the bus there. Its 3 euros.
