Daniel was an amazing tour guide. We went on a chilly day to Terual which was a cute village and Daniel seamlessly planned the sights and lunch. He advised us not to pay €9 to see the lovers exhibit as there were plenty of ways to see that story in other ways. Albarracin was picturesque and breathtaking and Daniel had a perfect route around town and ended with an awesome hike. He was patient and helpful and made the tour enjoyable for us. Planning a trip to the moorish caves with them in 2 weeks :)

We joined Danny on a full day wine tasting tour in the wine region near Requena. Danny keeps the groups very small, which allowed us a chance to visit during the ride out into the country. Danny did a great job sharing some history, pointing out interesting sites, and coaching us on the wines and wineries we'd be exploring.
The wineries were terrific. We learned a lot about the process, the grapes, and sampled several unique wines.
This is a terrific tour in all respects - a great experience!

We booked this tour after reading it’s description and noting it to be different than all other tours. We were not disappointed.

Daniel took us on an exceptional tour of two picturesque, historical towns north of Valencia. Terucel is a city that has often been in the center of conflict, yet has the feel of a smaller, quieter town of another era. It is known as a pilgrimage city for lovers and the old part (surrounded by a Roman wall) is very picturesque. Alcarracin is a small mountain village surrounded by an ancient wall (over a thousand years old) from when it was a small kingdom in the mountains. It has been rated as one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. We had a wonderful lunch here in a small family restaurant.
These two destinations are not not overly crowded and are hidden gems. This is a very different tour than the typical city tour. By taking this tour we feel like we got to see a very different side of Spain. This was an incredible day.

Daniel was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We greatly enjoyed this experience and strongly recommend others look at tours by valtournative. You won’t be disappointed.

Step back in time…… the Pope's Castle and Peniscola tour transported my family to a magical period from a thousand years ago. You get to tour the fantasy world where Game of Thrones and El Sid were filmed. The scenery and history are breath taking. In addition to this, I can’t say enough about how great of a tour guide Daniel was. Daniel has the personality of someone you’re immediately comfortable with in addition to his wealth of knowledge. Daniel doesn’t just recite all of the history that he knows, rather he’s extremely passionate to pass that knowledge and appreciation of the past down to others. The thing that I most appreciated about Daniel was his professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure we had an awesome experience. He took us to not only the tourist areas, but we also had the opportunity to go off the beaten path to have encounters/conversations with the locals to truly be immersed in the culture. Daniel is a treasure and my wish for you is that you’re lucky enough to one day join him for a tour!

3 of us went on this excursion and we had a blast. Daniel was a great guide and we really appreciated the history and stories he told and just talking with him in general. He went out of his way to help my 71 year old mother and make sure she was safe around the waterfalls and up and down the bus steps. We had a great time getting to know the other guests and the two food stops were wonderful. It was a bit chilly and windy but we were still able to get in the springs and enjoyed a refreshing swim. We loved that Daniel took time to take photos and videos of it and overall as an amazing day.

Our family of four adults enjoyed our day trip to Albarracin and Teruel. The executive van was spacious and comfortable, our lunch and coffee breaks were enjoyable and the interpretation of Amir, our tour guide, was excellent. The Mudejar architecture in Teruel was fascinating and Albarracin was scenic and charming. The steep hike up to the ancient medieval wall in Albarracin was the day’s highlight. This trip is a nice counterpoint to the urban bustle of Valencia. Be aware that the cost of lunch and coffee breaks is separate from the trip fee. I highly recommend this trip.

This was an incredible day out, and one of the best day tours I have ever done. Danny is an amazing guide and does it with such ease, he has mastered the balance of feeling like a friend, and at the same time a consummate professional and he really knows his stuff!
It was well run and organized but I also felt like it was adaptable to our group's needs and it flowed so well. I learned and saw so much, but it was also a really relaxed day. Albarracin is absolutely stunning and completely worth a visit. This was a fantastic day!

We were offered and taken on an alternative experience to the caves at Bocarent, due to a forest fire at the original destination. We really appreciated the flexibility of our guide, most places would have cancelled the trip with no alternative offered.
Our guide was Daniel, he was full of information on the areas we visited and Valencia's history. The trip was so much fun, experiences we've never had before and we would highly recommend it, and valnourternative as a tour company!

Daniel is a lovely guy who is very invested in providing an interesting and engaging tour. If you’re a fan of architecture as I am you’ll love these two towns (Teruel and Albaraccin) which provide a wonderful step back in time.

They’re particularly quiet right now because of the current pandemic so a great time to visitZ They aren’t easy to access either so being taken by car by Daniel was very convenient and he was very good company on our private tour.

We got to know a lot about our differ lives as well as the places we visited.

You can tell Daniel cares about his guests and wants them to have the best time.

Would highly recommend a trip with him when in Valencia.

We, a group of seven, had a customed tour to Turuel and Albarracin. Our tour guide Daniel and minivan driver Hose are so friendly, considerate, knowledgeble and humourous. We laughed a lot during the tour. Daniel told us interesting stories and show us most beautiful sceneries. He even took momerable pictures of us. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone who visit Valencia.

Dear Eunha and family, I hope that you are alright, healthy and happy back home. I remember our excursion with a lot of fondness and I am very honored to have been able to show you some of Spain's most beautiful places. I hope to see you all again in the future when Kanjin Lee is playing fulltime!
