About
The Fallero de Valencia Museum, with 121,000 visitors in 2018, has become one of the essential places to visit in the city of Turia. It is a unique and unique museum in the world, since its collections of pardoned ninots, created to be grass of the flames, are chosen by popular vote and saved from the fire to be visited here. Also the Cartel de Fallas collection, signed by important and influential posters and the portraits gallery of Falleras Mayores de Valencia since 1995, surprise people who visit us every day. To fully understand the history of the ninots, we have available audio guides for sale in five languages (Spanish, Valencian, English, French and Italian) at the price of 1 euro. They work using QR code or link to web page on mobile or tablet.

I did not know about this museum. My partner read about it and I trust her to find good things. But wow, so unique. Fascinating. I think I took 100+ photos. But photos do it little justice. Just GO! Clever and amazing sculptures. Funny. Intriguing. Low cost for a great museum. These are the voted best sculptures of each year in a festival where the rest are burned--these are the survivors for all the right reasons!

We visited just before Christmas on a Sunday morning and the entrance was free. Covid regulations were strictly adhered to during our visit though it was relatively quiet. The museum has WiFi audio description if required but exhibits are clearly labelled with some in English. The quality and detail of the art work on these items is astonishing even the exhibits going back a hundred years are amazing. This museum is just over the road from the Science and performing arts building and certainly would complement a visit to them … pretty certain most young children would also enjoy a visit here. Good for mobility impaired visitors with lift to second floor - all surfaces are flat.

We went in not knowing anything about Faller festival and ninots. It was fun and cool and we liked it a lot, learned something new. It was better than some main attractions that actually disappointed. This was a real gem, glad we visited.

Las Fallas museum is very interesting to see how the sculptures have changed from 1930's up until today. The artistic details of each character almost brings them alive. I was able to see the Fallas Dance performance in the Plaza L'Ayuntamiento and it was spectacular. Their costumes are beautiful, colorful with fine jewelry accessories.

Did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the superb figures (ninots), posters and paintings. Along the way you learn how these ninots have been made over the years and about the artists.

The figures were so life like and very cleverly done with great thought and artistry. The posters, the paintings all tell a story about Valencia.

Good place to learn about the social history of Valencia

The decision was made to cancel the Fallas shortly after I returned home last year and I guess it was cancelled again this year too. When I viisted the preparations were nevertheless in full swing with the daily fireworks from outside the City Hall - great fun to watch but very noisy! Knowing that I would not be able to see the real thing a visit to this small musuem was therefore a must. It's a stonesthrow from the City of Arts and Sciences so easy to combine with a day here and well worth the effort.

Set over several floors it basically tells the story of the Fallas - how it all began and has developed since, with some fine examples of some of the smaller figures. Of course the larger ones are almost as tall as the building that houses the Museum. The artistry that goes into creating these things though is just so well, artistic and creative. There isn't another way to describe it. The expressions on the faces of the figures are very cartoon like and are obviously very tongue in cheek, designed to poke fun at celebrities and politicians alike - I think we need a Fallas in London. Imagine a giant Boris Johnson towering over the streets!

A museum of figures that avoided being burnt at the festival? Wow..and what smashing figures they were. Amazing craftsmanship and well worth the token 2 euros entrance fee. A good visit for a couple of hours.

We visited this museum on November 13. Carnival is a big item in Valencia. Every year they make chariots and puppets that criticizes the politicians, a common item or ridicules local people or depicts a situation. The citizens vote for the nicest one made by children and one made by adults or a group. All the other ones will be thrown in a big fire.
The visit starts with a video so you have an idea what the Fallas is all about.
